Michigan-opoly board

edit

Hi! I just wanted to reach out to mention that I just started setting up a Michigan-themed Monopoly board at this page in an attempt to draw more attention to Michigan articles. The basic goal is to get all the articles on the board to GA status. Hope to see you there! Patr2016 (talk) 04:25, 29 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Consider becoming Autopatrolled

edit

Hello, DetroitFan7.

I've seen you editing recently and you seem like an experienced Wikipedia editor.
Would you please consider applying to become an Autopatrolled editor? Editors with a good history of creating clean articles can obtain this user right which would significantly reduce the workload on our New page patrolling process. Articles created by users with this right are automatically marked as patrolled and does not require further manual reviewing. Currently Wikipedia needs experienced editors to have this role. But kindly read these points before making your decision. Thanks. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 22:12, 29 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello DetroitFan7!

  • The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
  • We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
  • Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
  • Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
  • If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.

Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

Autopatrolled granted

edit

Hi DetroitFan7, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Schwede66 03:49, 5 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Nikita Kotukov, DOB

edit

Afternoon Detroitfan. going back to 2021 you created an article on Russian Paralympian Nikita Kotukov. You have shown 2 separate dates of birth for him, July 97 in the article, and May 99 in the infobox. Neither of the sources given (that I could see) show a DOB. Do you know which is correct? I have removed them for now. Cheers Moons of Io (talk) 12:24, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

DYK

edit

I believe Minna Stess might well qualify for a DYK, with you getting the credit.

If you would like to propose it at DYK, please do the honors. With luck, you can have it run when she competes, in two days.

If not interested, let me know, and I shall see what I can do.

You might consider something along the lines of:

... that the parents of American Olympian Minna Stess built a concrete skatepark in their backyard for their children? 2603:7000:2101:AA00:34AF:AC34:37AD:2505 (talk) 05:20, 4 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
