Derek Lyle Career Stats

edit

Many thanks for doing the career stats for Derek Lyle. I was actually thinking of attempting this during the last few weeks. I have noticed that Soccerbase have two links that cover his career at the base of his Wiki page and you will see from his info box that he played for a few teams before 2010, both signed and on loan, like his first spell at Queens, at Dundee and Hamilton and on loan at East Stirlingshire and Stirling, with Lyle starting at Partick Thistle with no appearances for the firet or when he was on loan at Dunfermline. You can let me know if you wish to complete this for me, as you have completed half of his career so far. Rusty1111 : Talk 13:46, 5 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of The Ian Wooldridge Award

edit

The article The Ian Wooldridge Award has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability in Reliable Sources. Almost all cites are to the Daily Mail - a deprecated source, hence unusable for notability. WP:BEFORE shows zero RS coverage outside the Daily Mail, and a very small amount of press release coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Copy articles

edit

Hi, pardon me trimming some content from this page, but WP:COPYARTICLE says "Userspace … should not be used to indefinitely host pages that look like articles, old revisions, or deleted content, or your preferred version of disputed content."

Would you mind also trimming your user page, or perhaps moving it to User:Daftcelt/sandbox1 etc? You may want to then use the WP:user page to say a little about yourself, but that's up to you. You can create as many sandbox pages as you like, and call them what you like, e.g. User:Daftcelt/Xxx redraft. But please do not keep copies of other content indefinitely; it slows down the work of checking "what links here" after renaming categories, etc. – Fayenatic London 11:19, 26 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
