RFB
Please be aware that many Wikipedians consider it poor form to make edits to one's own RFA or RFB. Some would express concern even at such mechanical changes as the updates of totals. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 02:24, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
- I suppose everyone who objects to such things has their own rationale. Some feel that it is a sign of overeagerness, others are concerned with an attempt to manipulate the process. I myself don't care, but would hate to see opposition to your request on such grounds. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 02:40, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
bureaucrat
Even better yet, as a bureaucrat you get to make personal attacks on behalf of others: "The community thinks you're an idiot." *giggle*
Good luck with the nom! --fvw* 03:34, September 1, 2005 (UTC)
Re: Bureaucratship
Andre, not only are you a dedicated and excellent administrator and deserving of the Bureaucratship, but you have always been there whenever I needed you and I'm honored to consider you amongst my friends here. My support for you is a given. Tony the Marine 04:09, August 27, 2005 (UTC)
- Same here, Andre! I wish you the best of luck in your election, and I am hoping that we can break this tradition of "we don't need more bureaucrats" nonsense. Go, Andre! Linuxbeak | Talk | Desk 15:00, August 27, 2005 (UTC)
Andre RfB
Hi Andre: I have read your responses to my opposition. I feel that I understand your position better. My reservations are less strongly held but I am not sufficiently comforted to change my vote. Ultimately, I think that our philosophies differ and while we agree on the facts, our weighting of those facts is different. I was taught that "a gentleman never unknowingly gives offence"; I seek the same attitude from a bureaucrat. I imagine that you will be appointed despite my opposition and I will have no problem with supporting the consensus decision whatever it may be. I hope that you already know that I wish you well. —Theo (Talk) 08:16, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
Bureaucratship
Andre, I am so sorry that didn't work out. :( You would be a very fine B-crat. I find myself very puzzled over the reasons some gave for opposing...very strange and unfortunate. Please do run again eventually, you have a standing automatic support vote from me. :) Func( t, c, @, ) 02:48, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
RfB
That would be very nice, thanks. It's too bad that your request didn't pass; better luck next time. --Merovingian (t) (c) 05:25, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
Fine for me as well. Good luck next time; I fully intend to support you should you run again. Ral315 05:26, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
- I'm sorry it didn't go through, but please let me know when you run again and I'll definitely support. SlimVirgin (talk) 05:28, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
I'd be more than happy for you to let me know when your next nomination is so I can support you again — I think you're more than deserving of becoming a bureaucrat, and I'm sorry to see that you apparently didn't reach consensus. Best of luck. αγδεε (ε τ c) 05:38, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'm sorry to see it didn't pass; it was a close call, at least. No need to let me know next time; I check the page regularly enough that I'll see it. Mindspillage (spill yours?) 05:56, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
Likewise, thanks very much for your support! I'll keep an eye on the requests for bureaucratship, and you can expect my vote next time as well. — Dan | Talk 06:30, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
Please let me know next time you're on RFB! --Phroziac (talk) 13:38, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
Sorry it didn't go through... I was surprised that what I thought was reasonable campaigning was misinterpreted as "pimping for votes" (sic). Oh well...please let me know when you run again! Owen× ☎ 13:42, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
- I was also surprised that it didn't go through, feel free to inform me next time as well. Amren (talk) 16:40, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
Once you are renominated, feel free to inform me once again once. K1Bond007 22:04, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
Friendly Chat = Bureaucratship
Don't think twice about letting me know when you run again. I don't care what others may have thought, you really deserved the Bureaucratship. You can count on me, I'll be there to back you up. Tony the Marine 05:31, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
Sho, remind me 'bout RfB.

B'Crat
Thanks for posting and supporting me. You may contact me again ofcourse. :) You got roughly 83% of the votes, so how much more was needed before promotion? =Nichalp «Talk»= 07:08, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
Leting you know
You said to me: "If you'd like to be informed next time around, please let me know on my talk page." I'd like to be informed. WAS 4.250 07:09, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
Bureau
- Sure...No problem. Yes I would like to know when you run again, as I think you'll make a good bureaucrat. Sorry it didn't pass. Cheers. — Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 13:20, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
Remind me!
Whenever you run again be sure to notify me. Thanks, and good luck next time around, it was so close once again. Comic 19:27, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
Pity
Eventually you will be a brilliant bureaucrat, please let me know when the likelihood of that becoming a reality is again near, as I would hate to miss the chance to vote again. Regards and commiserations. Giano | talk 21:13, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
Re:Reminding me
Sure, reminding me wouldn't hurt anything. But be warned: there are those who will think you're soliciting votes. Good luck next time around. Ingoolemo talk 22:43, 2005 September 4 (UTC)
Congrats for Bereaucratship
Sorry Andre that I didn't vote, it is because I was really busy with stuff. But if I had the time I would have support you. Congrats! Squash 08:51, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
Sure, go ahead and notify me when you're up again. Johnleemk | Talk 14:21, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

Bureaucratship
Hi Andre, thanks for your note on my talk page. I had some time to go through a large proportion of your contributions during your candidacy, and I think the number of support votes you received speaks for itself as to how well regarded you are in the community. As I wrote in your RfB, I think you are an excellent contributor to Wikipedia and it is always wonderful to see that we have members of the community like you around.
When you run for another bureaucratship in the future, I'm confident your friends on Wikipedia will once again express their support for you. Just take a step back and look at your talk page as it stands! As always, if you would like more elaboration on my thoughts and reasoning behind my vote, I would be happy to set aside some time to do so and offer some constructive feedback. See you around the Wiki! --HappyCamper 15:52, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
What you do you mean your nomination didn't pass? It was 50 to 10 in your favor! Adraeus 00:18, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
Your RFB, My RFA
You do a lot of great things, both for the encyclopedia and for the community. I know I was nitpicky in my opposition, but I felt it was important that I brought it up. Just remember: it's not a sin to have an opinion.
I want to thank you for your vote of confidence on my RFA. Unfortunately, Redwolf24 did all of it without realizing that I've only been here for 45 days, so it has been withdrawn. I really respect you for not holding a grudge. I've seen a lot of remarks such as: "User A opposed me, so I'll do that same..."
Because of you, there will be some new blood in the bureaucrat family. You broke the "we have enough already" mold. As long as some of the issues brought up in your RFB are met, I'll gladly support you next time. Good luck. Acetic'Acid 21:17, September 5, 2005 (UTC)
Thanks
Hi Andre:
Thanks for support in my recent RFB nomination. I'm now WP's newest bureaucrat. Hope you too get a chance to join the ranks soon. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 18:46, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
B-Cratship
Oh, please notify me when you run again. I find it a little hard to believe that notifying people that you are running again was thought to be "vote-mongering", considering those to whom you left messages to might have voted against you. Good luck next time! Cheers, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 21:35, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
Bureaucratship
Pls give me a shout the next time you're nominated. JuntungWu 12:25, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
