Image rights
editHello Adrian. In your edit summaries for your recent edits to JoJo Siwa you stated that you were buying a photo of them for use in the article. Please ensure you read WP:IUP#COPYRIGHT. Depending on the nature of the licence to the image thay you buy, you won't be able to use it on Wikipedia. To be used here, the photographer would have to licence it under creative commons, making it free and effectively waiving their rights to it, which doesn't sound like the case if you're having to buy it. You have written about galaxies I would like to write my self (NGC 6621 and NGC 2936 with their weird shape, NGC 5529, a huge galaxy nearly three times larger than ours, and NGC 5395, a beautiful spiral.) but also there are a lot more galaxies that need an article and before expanding existing articles, I focus there. --C messier (talk) 13:16, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- I expanded NGC 6621. A few remarks to help you write longer articles. The first is that of galaxies, NED is a database with more information. I prefer the classic format because all the information you need to fill a infobox are in one page. It also has notes for many of the objects, where you can get an idea about some characteristics of the galaxy (shape, activity etc.) - don't forget to cite the original paper source. If the paper has a DOI it is easy; at the tool bar over the editing window you go to cite, choose journal, copy-paste DOI at the special place of DOI, click the search (magnifying glass) and it is autocompleted. Then press Insert and the citiation is ready. For even more citations check in the references. --C messier (talk) 17:06, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

editHello. Nice meeting you briefly on Saturday. I also love astronomy, though I'm definitely an amateur. I was lucky enough to see totality in Casper and go to Astrocon there in 2017. If there's ever anything I can do to help you here, let me know. Jonathunder (talk) 21:00, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for offering your help to me. I am surprisingly in need of it right now. I was busy editing NGC 2460 and am trying to reference an already cited portion of the site. I referenced Seligman's website in the caption section of the article but now I am trying to reference that cited article again at the beginning of the article. I just keeping getting the "not getting referenced in the article" tag. How do I get it to work. Every time I do this to different articles I use the "cite simbad" and just use SIMBAD as my ref name. AdrianWikiEditor (talk) 23:40, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
- I fixed it for you. The "ref name" tag can be tricky. The syntax has to be just right and the reference name has to be exactly the same each time. (It's a good introduction to how frustrating computer coding can be sometimes.) As far as what reference name to choose, that's up to you. I will often use the last name of the author or something else that will be clear to other editors and to myself later. Jonathunder (talk) 22:54, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
Thank you! I was trying to figure out where to put the reference name and was considering putting it on top. Thanks for the help. AdrianWikiEditor (talk) 23:40, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Emma Chamberlain (March 27)
edit- Draft:Emma Chamberlain may be deleted at any time unless the copied text is removed. Copyrighted work cannot be allowed to remain on Wikipedia.

- Hi, AdrianWikiEditor, just wanted to let you know that there's an archive of the draft here, in case you wanted to try again (alternatively, a nice admin could get a copy of the page source). I was surprised to see this was deleted due to copyright infringement, based on what looked like a number of reliable sources.
- Anyway, if you decide to try again, feel free to reach out! = paul2520 (talk) 12:06, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hi @Paul2520:, I just wanted to let you know that I did not put that copyrighted content. While I did want Emma Chamberlain to get out of Draft mode I worked hard using RELIBLE AND NON COPYRIGHTED sources. Then some new users with like 5 edits came in and stole the copyrighted work while I was not there.AdrianWikiEditor (talk) 12:42, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay. I've been pretty busy, and won't be able to do much for the next few days. But maybe RHaworth, the admin who deleted the page, could view the deleted page source and copy it to a userspace draft? We could remove the content that is copyrighted, clean up the article, and re-submit. I'd be happy to help. = paul2520 (talk) 00:56, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
- My wife heard the sound of the copyvio Emma video and came into my room and said "who is this silly woman? turn it off". And I agree with her: Emma is one of the twittering classes and unworthy of a serious encyclopedia. I went back to your version of 2019-01-06t04:56:39 (7,080 bytes) and still got copyvios reported - email sent. Take it to DRV if you must. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 08:37, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
- @RHaworth:If you don't want her on Wikipedia, that's fine. I am not angry at all. I didn't start the draft in the first place, I helped get it to submission level. I'll stick to what I am good at on here and that's astronomy. Have a good day RHaworth. AdrianWikiEditor (talk) 12:27, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

The article Belle Delphine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
insufficient evidencefor notability
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DGG ( talk ) 12:15, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
Escherian Stairwell
editHi there. I was just looking at your userpage and I came across Penrose stairs#Escherian Stairwell. I found this content interesting but it was a little difficult to understand, so I've edited the section to clarify that a) it's a video and b) the video does feature a staircase at RIT, but it's obviously not a Penrose staircase and the architect is fake. Let me know if you have any issues with my edit. :) Thanks, SpicyMilkBoy (talk) 17:46, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
@SpicyMilkBoy: Hey, thanks for that. I originally created Escherian Stairwell as an independent article. After having a discussion to move the article, we decided to transfer word-to-word. Also, it's really rare for me to have to go through the deletion process, I am always creating NGC stub articles, which is because of the project still has to do 7000+ and that a lot of other Wikipedia langauges have all them completed as mostly stubs too. I remember you
editI see you have created some more objects in my list (although I have been dormant the last mounths). Well, a complete infobox is quite a helpful start. Also, infoboxes are usually placed before the lead section. I have to notice that ADS isn't a journal it self, but an archive-library of astronomy related journal articles. So, this citation Pihlström, Y. M.; Conway, J. E.; Booth, R. S.; Diamond, P. J.; Koribalski, B. (November 1999). "NASA/ADS". Ui.adsabs.harvard.edu. Bibcode:1999NewAR..43..647P. isn't completed correctly. In the title parametre you place the name of the article (VLBI observations of high-opacity HI gas in NGC 5793). This article was puplished in the journal New Astronomy Reviews. --C messier (talk) 20:35, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
- Got it @C messier:, also do you know the reasonable character size for a start article. Hard to judge because some articles you create are longer than others. Also I really don't know that many journals as I just use Google when necessary. It's really hard to expand articles if theres no information for it. I mostly expanded my stubs by describing the galaxies in detail. NGC 5395 and NGC 2936 were actually pretty easy since they are interacting and I can describe all galaxies. NGC 5529 and NGC 5793 are more difficult as they are stand-alone. AdrianWikiEditor (talk) 20:46, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
- I have read somewhere that an article needs to be at least 10 sentences long so as not to be considered a stub. Google can help find some journal articles about the galaxy and start an article, but the full list of citations where an object is mentioned can be found at NED and SIMBAD. I prefer simbad because in one page mentions the full title and the number of objects named in a paper. That way, I can find a relevant article by control+F the NGC number of the object and find the papers where the object is mentioned in the title (and thus it is possible to be more specific). Check always the introduction section of these papers for information that were published in past papers. Also papers that consern a relatively small number of objects have more chances to mention somethinh more than the location and name of an object. Some other information, like the supernovae and nearby galaxies are based on databases. --C messier (talk) 16:17, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- @C messier:. Thank you, I guessed I never noticed the sources there on SIMBAD. Do you think 4000 characters is a reasonable amount for a start article, or does it need to be higher, or lower. AdrianWikiEditor (talk) 18:58, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
- The read you are requesting: WP:STUBDEF. --C messier (talk) 11:15, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Belle Delphine
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Belle Delphine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on G Fuel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
