Your typo
I have proposed a correction of your post at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Pattern of problematic adminship?. I didn't want to modify your comment without your permission, so I inserted it as hidden text. -- IRP ☎ 19:18, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Well, I saw the latest mess at ANI. Like I've said I only do wikipedia for fun, and sadly that's getting harder and harder even trying to ignore the drama, so I didn't involve myself.
But I just thought in light of recent events I'd like to reiterate my appreciation for your hard work and contributions on wikipedia. And to assure you that if the oft-threatened RFC/U ever sees the light of day, I'll surely weigh in in your defense. McJeff (talk) 20:55, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Dear A Nobody,
My method of voting on AfDs involves me reading every AfD, making my decision, making a list of AfDs that I would vote on, and then rapidly voting using tabs to save time. Sincerely, Myownusername (talk) 01:47, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Can you help me?
I added 77 articles to Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Bilateral relations and now need to add:
{{user:ikip/99|Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Bilateral relations}}
to all the AFDs, found here: User:Ikip/test77.
If you want to start at the bottom, that would be great. I give you permission to use this template, which signs my name. Ikip (talk) 01:56, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes it should apply to both sides. Actually, everyone. Why are we here if not to edit articles? David D. (Talk) 22:10, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I agree with that, which is why I make sure to contribute to all sorts of aspects of the project from welcoming new users to commenting in talk threads, but most importantly with adding references and fixing grammar and format in the articles themselves. Not okay :( Actually A Nobody, I am kind of tired of all the wikidrama. I think I have outgrown all the bickering and back stabbing and piety secret alliances. I am tired of having to be nice and civil to people that I can't stand, and I would sooner spit in their face then talking with them. I waste so much time on wikipedia, and I have nothing to show for it except a bad mood which seeps into my real life. Ikip (talk) 07:43, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

fiction guideline
I'm not sure if you've seen Wikipedia:Fiction, but User:Phil Sandifer is trying to put together a proposal for how to handle fiction that is independent of Wikipedia:Notability (fiction). You'll notice, interestingly enough, that this one tries to deal with fiction without reference to notability, focusing instead on quality. You know that I'll support nearly any compromise that has some kind of quality control, so I'm just trying to mediate between the different interest groups as per usual. But we could use more opinions that don't rehash old debates about extremes (e.g.: WP:GNG or nothing). I know these discussions can be tedious. But a successful compromise would save more articles than any amount of editing could. Randomran (talk) 16:00, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- I think the basis for compromises are having lists of characters, weapons, etc. and redirects with edit history intact. My biggest concern is outright deleting edit histories where editors are then forced to keep starting over as new sources become available. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 18:57, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Barnstar
The Barnstar of Peace | ||||
The Barnstar of Peace is awarded to users who have helped to resolve, peacefully, conflicts on Wikipedia.
This barnstar is awarded to A Nobody for his efforts to work towards peace on Article Rescue Squadron. I have only seen the reactive A Nobody thus far, the A Nobody who is attacked by others, and is in constant defensive/offensive mode. So it is a wonderful opportunity and pleasant suprise to see the creative and diplomatic A Nobody, as I have seen in the past few days on Article Rescue Squadron. This A nobody is much more effective and has the makings of a great administrator some day. Congratulations on the barnstar. Ikip (talk) 17:17, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

RE: the contest, we should have some kind of reward. Maybe a special medal of sorts, which we could give to the winner. I could easily make this in photoshop, combine a trophy with the rescue squadron life preserver. Even a first, second, and third prize.

What a Brilliant Idea Barnstar | ||
Awarded for the suggestion (that ended up) at WT:BILATERAL which accomplishes the laudable goals of reducing the number of permastubs on questionably-notable country pairings, preserving properly-sourced content in group articles, and possibly causing peace to break out between the inclusionists and deletionists on the highly-vexed topic of bilateral relations. Hi
Your welcome template was rather random... How did you notice this IP? I'm Antivenin, btw. I'm browsing for a while before I sleep, which'll be in like 5 minutes. 122.162.176.133 (talk) 20:37, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- You edited a page on my watch list, that is how I welcome editors. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 20:39, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the greeting! The welcome message was quite surprising, and also nice to have, too.. nice to have someone notice your trivial changes! What's probably more surprising, though, is the huge community of editors Wikipedia has! I'm trying to get a community of people who care about knowledge as much as this, but it's hard to get people involved... (it's sharetolearn.net, by the way :)). 72.181.209.145 (talk) 05:02, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- You're welcome! Happy editing! Good luck with your site. Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 05:04, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
Why the fuck?
Why the fuck would you welcome an IP address that is involved in off-wiki harrassment involving myself. Seriously this is the final straw. The IP address posed a link to a harrassment site which I'm the subject almost a week ago. That edit wasn't reverted, and the IP welcomed by you? I'm gone and this time I really mean it. Scrambling passwords, clearly I'm considered a troll here. Secret account 00:29, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- Is this the above bit? I google and don't see 122.162.176.133 listed anywhere. On wikipedia, he has two contributions only, one posted above, and another talking to someone quite friendly on their page, ever so briefly. Dream Focus 01:29, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- You got me; I generally only welcome IPs who have contributed to pages on my watch list; thus, I might have accidentally welcomed the wrong IP when I meant to click on another one on my watch list with a red linked talk page, i.e. this IP may have shown up next to some other one and I clicked the wrong one. I absolutely do not condone anything like what you describe as I deem off-wiki harassment despicable and as such would gladly retract any welcome that wasn't deserved. Also, I'll check through the edits to see if I can figure out what you are referring to and will ask an admin off wiki to delete and/or oversight any edits that I believe put you in any danger if necessary. Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 03:11, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- 122.162.176.133 is User:Antivenin but I'm not aware they are in a dispute with anyone. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 10:25, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- I am checking through to see what it might be and will off-wiki ask a trusted admin to delete or possibly oversight if whatever the IP left is serious enough. If what Secret says above is corret, i.e. the IP is involved in off-wiki harassment, I would not want him to be put in any additional danger here by posting any possible diffs that he obviously did not want acknowledged in the first place. So, while I appreciate the good faith help, we don't want to give an IP used for harassment any greater attention here; again, if there is anything serious enough, I will find it and will see to it that a trusted admin make sure anything potentially damaging to Secret is removed. If you notice anything else that I should pass along to admin for deletion or oversight purposes concerning this, please email me off-wiki. In such circumstances, we have to be usre to protect our fellow editors' privacy as much as possible. Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 22:01, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Unfortunately, my RFA was closed recently with a final tally of 75½/38/10. Though it didn't succeed, I wanted to thank you for your support and I hope I can count on it in the future. Even though it didn't pass, it had a nearly 2 to 1 ratio of support and I am quite encouraged by those results. I intend to review the support, oppose, and neutral !votes and see what I can do to address those concerns that were brought up and resubmit in a few months. If you would like to assist in my betterment and/or co-nominate me in the future, please let me know on my talk page.
