editHello, 96.87.73.241, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. - LouisAragon (talk) 23:14, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
- Again as I said before, I lost track of my previous account. I started new account scarsdalevibe. If you prefer, I'll edit from that from here on out. I am not seeking to use multiple accounts. Usually I just make the edit without logging in. 96.87.73.241 (talk) 03:13, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
I only use one account from my computer. I figured it would have the same IP address. I forgot the password to my old account.
Ernest Renan: French Nationalist?
editYour edit [1] categorizes Ernest Renan as a French Nationalist. I reverted the edit. The article notes he was racist against africans, that he influenced nationalist Benedict Anderson, and that he was a critic of german nationalism. That's all the article says. Thus I don't think the article supports that he is a nationalist. Categories are meant to be used only when such content is given significant treatment in the article. Cheers.--User:Dwarf Kirlston - talk 02:40, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Benedict Anderson was not a nationalist. He was a sociologist who studied ideas of nationalism. But didn't subscribe to it himself. I categorized him as French nationalist on account of biographic information indicating his belief in the superiority of the French and the cohesiveness of France as a territorial nation-state. I can provide sources if you like. 96.87.73.241 (talk) 03:13, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Okay. So first of all I hope you understood that categories are only meant to be used when significant treatment is given in the article. Second of all to discuss inclusion of the label of nationalist for Ernest Renan I think we can continue in the article talk page. I'll be posting there shortly in talk:Ernest Renan#Ernest Renan: French Nationalist?.--User:Dwarf Kirlston - talk 13:46, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

editYou may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Seyyed Ahmad Musavi Hindi. Also at Salih ben Sharif al-Rundi, amongst others. Agenda-infested WP:TENDENTIOUS editing, cross-article. Already admitted he has other accounts (incl. "Scarsdale.vibe"), nevertheless still keeps editing while logged out. - LouisAragon (talk) 21:41, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

editHello, I'm David Tornheim. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Herman Melville, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. --David Tornheim (talk) 08:31, 16 April 2019 (UTC)

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (96.87.73.241) is used to identify you instead.

editHello. Your recent edit to Lee's Summit High School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. editHello, I'm Kautilya3. I noticed that you recently removed content from The Indian Ideology without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
