I checked the policy before i reported it. WP:PROMONAME says:
The following types of usernames are not permitted because they are considered promotional:

• Usernames that unambiguously represent the name of a company, organization, website, product, musical group or band, team, club, creative group, or organized event.

@HerBauhaus No problem, some templates allow the creation of notes like that, others don't. Since it can create errors, which gets put in cleanup categories, it's always best to double-check if a template allows it or not. Hi @Camdenship, From what I can tell your edit got reverted due to two reasons. Reason 1 was the references that you didn't add correctly. You can find out how to do them correctly here (Help:Referencing for beginners). Reason 2 was that your additions were too written too promotional. First, there's no indication if that organization is notable and meets our General notability guidelines or our organization notability guidelines. Mr 1AmNobody24 - I did all the research and wrote the text on the National Register nomination. I'm glad you found it. I also wrote the Jodzies Highway Marker submission. Mrs Jodzies is now on the Virginia Womens Monument Wall of Honor (https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Virginia_Women%27s_Monument) but she has a RED name because she doesn't have a Wikipedia Link. For what it's worth, this wasn't sent by me, but I'm happy to respond to the request. I always encourage people to focus on the areas they DO know. I don't review all types of articles, I focus on what I know and learn more about other areas when I feel like giving it a shot. I always tell new reviewers to get familiar with the process by focusing on their niche(s), an area where they should be familiar with notability, and to check out WP:NPPSORT. Note that I haven't reviewed you to see if you'd be a good fit. Historically speaking though, most AfC reviewers make great NPP reviewers :) Hey man im josh (talk) 12:26, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Thecapedoctor, I see the Teahouse discussion you started. An article about B Major was recently deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/B Major (South African musician), due to lacking notability and Sockpuppetry. So I believe that, unless something has changed in the last four weeks, it still wouldn't pass as notable. Agharia page

May I have a reason why the Agharia page was reverted? I feel like if we're talking about the Agharia people, both sects must be mentioned. I feel like I must also point out that the Agharia sect in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, etc. is the bigger and more major sect than the Gurjarati sect, as seen as the Agharia Language page refers to the language spoken in the first region (where it is spoken) and not the assimilated Gujarati sect. Hi @LiPingXhao The section you added had only one source added to it, which was a External link to the Swedisch Wikipedia. It is wrong to add a External link in the article body and to use Wikipedia as a source, both is against policy. If you say that the section could completely be sourced with the references already in the article, then you should have added them to the section. I supplemented the the wikipedia link to Reinhold von Mohrenschildt with a reference to the biography of Mohrenschildt from Bernd Rieger. Why are these two references insufficient? I could add more references. There are plenty of published sources for the activities of this murderous clan. This user has been doing the same thing since 2022- no other contributions of any kind. I have attempted to summarise all this on the talk page. After your reversion, they did it again; I, as I have done before, restored the information, there being no reason for it not to be included save the intention on the article subject's part (or that of an invested party) of hiding notable relatives, her grandfather and, given her TV career, perhaps especially her BBC executive uncle. Having restored the details AGAIN yesterday, I see a NEW IP address has done exactly the same thing; a dishonest edit summary "added details of X and Y" with no mention of their deletion of the biographical details. Since I'm still confused about references and sources, I would like to ask a bunch of things:

- I've been told that album releases need to have references. What sources could I use for that? In this case, would using the record label's website as a source be considered acceptable?

- Is it possible to use YouTube videos as references for TV broadcasts? Even though I used proper sources to justify other broadcasts related to the band, there's some 1981 footage of them playing one of their compositions, which at the time hadn't been released. This video seems to have been recoded from Norwegian TV, but I can't find any Norwegian articles that mention this.

- Aside from the sources that I've already used, do you have any recommendations? I can't find any way to access Swedish newspaper/magazine scans, even after having signed up to the waiting list for the Swedish Wikipedia's Mediearkivet page.

Hi Staffscribbles, the quality of sources is determined by their reliability. The record labels website can be considered reliable for the album releases, so would be past chart rankings if the albums made it. Youtube videos are generally considered not reliable (RSPYT). The problem with the lack of sources of the TV broadcasts can sometimes be explained due to lacking notability. As for other sources: CDs can be added as a sources using {{Cite AV media}} and Offline sources in general are probably the best way. Nobody (talk) 06:50, 20 May 2024 (UTC)

Thanks! I removed the 1981 broadcast from the article and included record label websites, but I still have some questions to ask:

- Many of the record labels mentioned in the article are defunct, and most of the ones that are not tend to omit any mention of the band in their websites for no apparent reason. Having this in mind, I might have to resort to using offine sources to prove the existence of the albums. How could I handle referencing them? The article that explains it is a bit vague, and since most people on Wikipedia might not have a physical copy of those CDs/vinyls - myself included - the odds of my article getting rejected could be higher.

- What sources could I use to justify claims that are mainly related to musical styles? The Norwegian sources I used for references outside of TV broadcasts are all from the early 80s and don't offer an in-depth description of the group's musical style at the time. Of course, Norwegian newspapers past this period rarely mention the band, since Haakon Graf, the only Norwegian member, left the group in 1982. Like I've previously said, I don't have access to Swedish newspapers and magazines to look for reviews, which I'd need to justify claims such as "This album has a style closer to jazz as well as a more accessible sound featuring typical timbres found in 80s music, such as Yamaha's DX7 synthesizer".

- Using offline sources for uncontroversial things will most likely not be challenged. But it's true that some won't count towards the notability requirements (Notability, NMUSIC), which is the reason most drafts are rejected.
- I also don't know how those are normally referenced. You could ask for help at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Musicians or at the Help desk as they probably have some better advice for you.
- The current sources are quite good, especially the newspapers. If you have time you could add |quote= and |trans-quote= to some (not all, only the most important ones, due to copyright concerns) as it would make it easier for non-swedish speaking users to verify the information from them (See Cite_news#Quote on how to use them)
Be sure that all information in the Lead and infobox is referenced somewhere in the article. If you know all the Members years when they joined and left you could add a Timeline in the article (Example: HammerFall). Nobody (talk) 06:04, 21 May 2024 (UTC)

reorganizing the order of paragraphs on a current page

Hi 1AmNobody24. On Tuesday (5/23) I tried splitting a current heading into 2 paragraphs. I copied and pasted the way to make headings and updated the paragraph content as Arlene Harris desired. Later I also want to move that paragraph to the bottom of her page. The Bot said I have a heading error. I also updated two references and those references were numbered the same as those they replaced. How do you get the references in the right order? Hi Jules, In your earlier edit you added [21] to the reference while changing it, which created an error. It was fixed in the following edit. In your second edit you added the references without the |title= parameter which is required in all references. You can see in this diff the improvements made to your references. I would like very much to use the VisualEditor but my version of the Editor looks different. There is no option to do automatic edits. In the google version it says Edit Source not Editor. I have used google for all my edits. Will the number of the reference change if I rearrange the information on the Wikipedia page? Hi Jules, if you want to use a reference multiple times in an article you can do that by: First, change the current reference from <ref>...</ref> to <ref name="1">...</ref>. Second, add <ref name="1" /> to the place where you want the reference to also be. Nobody (talk) 06:08, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

"clerking" at WP:UAA

While comments are always welcome if they include new information, only administrators should be declining reports at UAA. I've also noticed you replying to some reports by the bot, which isn't particualrly helpful either. UAA does not have clerks, the idea that it should have them has been repeatedly rejected. Hi @JSS, I can agree with the first part, but stronly disagree with the second part. If I see that the bot reported account is block evading, an LTA, or has done something that shows their username violates policy I'll reply so a patrolling administrator knows what to look for, calling that not helpful makes no sense to me.
