Proposed deletion of Pir Piai railway station

edit

The article Pir Piai railway station has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability. Per "railwaystations.pk" (questionable), no trains actually stop here. Delete or merge into the larger line article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Naming conventions of constituencies: Arbitration request declined

edit

Hello امین اکبر,

In response to your request for arbitration, the Arbitration Committee has agreed that arbitration is not required at this stage. Arbitration on Wikipedia is a lengthy, complicated process that involves the unilateral adjudication of a dispute by an elected committee. Although the Committee's decisions can be useful to certain disputes, in many cases the actual process of arbitration is unenjoyable and time-consuming. Moreover, for most disputes the community maintains an effective set of mechanisms for reaching a compromise or resolving a grievance.

Disputes among editors regarding the content of an article should use structured discussion on the talk page between the disputing editors. However, requests for comment, third opinions and other venues are available if discussion alone does not yield a consensus. The dispute resolution noticeboard also exists as a method of resolving content disputes that aren't easily resolved with talk page discussion.

In all cases, you should review Wikipedia:Dispute resolution to learn more about resolving disputes on Wikipedia. The English Wikipedia community has many venues for resolving disputes and grievances, and it is important to explore them instead of requesting arbitration in the first instance. For more information on the process of arbitration, please see the Arbitration Policy and the Guide to Arbitration. I hope this advice is useful, and please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of the community if you have more questions. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:19, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

امین اکبر (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Caught by a web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 119.155.231.207. Yesterday it was different but that was also blocked. It looks that you blocked all IP addresses of PTCL. As per PTCL website, there are 1.3 million broadband users. Wikipedia's admins blocked all 1.3 million broadband users of PTCL. Please look into this matter. It would be best if you placed an automatic IP exemption for extended confirmed users. Ameen Akbar (talk) 14:21, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Procedural decline as your account isn't blocked directly so there's no block to lift, and you can edit from another IP that isn't blocked. And lifting the proxy block is just not going to be very likely. I completely agree with your suggestion that we should at least give admins the power to exempt EC accounts from blocks; I brought it up at a session at Wikimania this year where we discussed the difficulties these rangeblocks create for legitimate editors in the developing world (and not just there either) and I will bring it up again at next year's Community Wishlist Survey on Meta (it would doubtless get a lot of support, but that alone doesn't guarantee the tech team will be able to do it). But we can't do it now, and in the alternative I will direct you to WP:IPECPROXY where there are instructions for requesting IP block exemption by email. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:38, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Hi. I wanted to make a request. If you have time,of course. I wanted to request you to remove a non neutral and political section from a non political article. I am not an editor so I don't know the process. But can you do it. Thanks. I'll explain the problem if you are interested in contributing. Donteatgarlic (talk) 15:44, 15 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Tell me your problem. If I think your proposed section should be removed, I will remove that. Ameen Akbar (talk) 17:11, 15 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

thank you for responding. I wanted to request to remove a section from an article. I am not an editor just someone who browses Wikipedia. I made the account to send request. So the article is tourism in Pakistan. There is a section in it called image and influencers. This section was too political and sensationalist. It contained incorrect information. I'll cite the link
http://en.m.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Tourism_in_Pakistan&action=edit&section=2
So when I read this section, it seemed to be too political. Also a lot of info in it was wrong and sensationalist and like tourism in Pakistan is promoted to distract people from its problems. That's not true at all. People in Pak are very well aware of its problems and nothing distracts them from them and they criticise the problems . This line is straight up incorrect t and is the authors conspiracy. Also it contains opinionated and non neutral terms like gora complex. Why are Pakistanis being addressed by biased terms this way? Also why is a single article being given so much importance in the whole section. It's straight up dishonesty. The author isn't even prominent or anything. I read the original source and this author is kind of biased. She doesn't even live in Pakistan. Also she's anti pti so she had bias in mind while writing the article. Keeping in mind that Imran khan was promoting tourism. I don't even care for that guy but this bias was weird. Also about the women being allowed to drive bikes thing, it's common knowledge in many countries s that the places culture arent expected to be imposed on tourists. Like for eg in Saudi Arabia foreign women can roam around without burqa or hijab. It's common sense. No one is misrepresenting anything. Everyone knows what is happening everywhere. Why is such a political article being added to a page about tourism . The other countries articles don't have these type of sections so why this? I think it's irrelevant. Also promotion of tourism(along with mention of some influencers) is already covered in the Imran khan section. So I believe the whole section should be removed. It's entirely filled with references to an opinionated source written by a biased author. Opinionated articles shouldn't be allowed in pages like tourism in Pakistan. The section was too out of tone and off putting. Now about the history of the section. I looked at the history and discovered that the Wikipedia editor who added the section has been accused by other Wikipedia users (on unrelated matters) of having an agenda. In fact they have been banned by Wikipedia form writing about some topics relating to Pakistan. Because they had an agenda. In fact when they submitted the section it was in an even worst shape as it contained lines out of context front the original article. But then an editor corrected it. However I believe that the whole section should be removed. As it's biased violates neutrality rules and is opinionated and political. So if you have time will you kindly remove it? I don't know the process of removing sections but you are an experienced editor. Of course only if you have time. Sorry for the long read. I wanted to express my problems and make clear the whole things. I hope my request doesn't bother you. I shall be very thankful to you if you consider it. I will see this later. Ameen Akbar (talk) 17:37, 15 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi. So what have you thought about the article? Donteatgarlic (talk) 09:23, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi. Thank you for responding to my request. You have helped a lot. Thank you for editing. There is something else I wanted to say. I want to point that the new section you made "Ranking in Tourism", the information in the section has already been mentioned in the Wikipedia article. So I think it should be removed as it has already been written in the article. I think this should be done to avoid repetition. Also because the new section contains link to the journalists article the biased one I was complaining to you about. Again thanks for agreeing to my request.
