Nomination
editMoses (talk · contribs) – An outstanding candidate, and when more appropriate to nominate him than the anniversary of his first encounter with vandals? He is an expert on leading a community of millions, and also has unrivalled experience with formation and interpretation of policies. Who better to help lead the community? ∰Bellezzasolo✡ Discuss 11:46, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: He is somewhat AFK (he hasn't worked out how to edit Wikipedia from a tablet), but I understand that he accepts with pleasure. ∰Bellezzasolo✡ Discuss 11:52, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: The Ten Commandments, I may not have written them, but I passed them on to the world. - Moses
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: G-d caused me a lot of stress, after all he pressured me to confront Pharaoh. However, I emerged from that encounter much stronger and with vastly increased self-confidence. -- Moshe Rabbeinu
- What about your well-publicised falling out with Aaron - your own brother! - over the golden calf?Deb (talk) 12:11, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- I think we all have sibling rivalry from time to time. In this case, my older brother was misbehaving, but in this case I forgave him. -- Moses

You may ask optional questions below. There is a limit of two questions per editor. Multi-part questions disguised as one question, with the intention of evading the limit, are disallowed. Follow-up questions relevant to questions you have already asked are allowed.
- Additional question from Ritchie333
- 4. You claim to have crossed the Red Sea while it was parted. Wouldn't have been easier to get on a ferry, so you could sample the duty free while on board?
- A: The ferry was the initial plan, but I left my wallet in Egypt. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough money for a million tickets, which also ruled out the toll bridge. -- Moses
- Additional question from Linguist111
- 5. Will I go to hell?
- A: I don't believe in Hell -- Moses
- Additional question from My name is not dave
- 6. How will you stop those pesky paid editors in Egypt?
- A: Well, my preferred method is a plague of darkness. Short of that, a /4 rangeblock. -- Moses
- Additional question from Ad Orientem
- 7. Should all [male] admins be required to have a beard?
- A: Only the Jewish ones must -- Moses
- Additional question from Pkbwcgs
- 8. Do you have the crystal ball and do you follow WP:CRYSTALBALL?
- A: Not a crystal ball, a rather scraggly black bush in my back garden where I hear voices. And I only tell the secret Jewish cabal what I hear - where's the fun in knowing the future if everybody knows? -- Moses
- Additional question from Green Giant
- 9. I'm confused because I was led to believe that it was Jesus who was coming back. Why isn’t Jesus standing for admin? What have you done with him?
- A: Well, he's in my
dungeonguest house, because he's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy. -- Moses

- Titanium strong support I thought he was already an admin, too, or at least mighty close to bureaucrat by this point. Sure, yes, WP:MOSES, but, ipso facto, an admin should be Moses, right? Q.E.D. And please don't send a plague of locusts. — Javert2113 (talk) 13:35, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

Oppose
edit- No such username! Hhhhhkohhhhh (talk) 12:00, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry, I cannot support someone who has shown such a dictatorial attitude. Deb (talk) 12:12, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- The candidate's notorious practice of making important decisions in consultation with flaming shrubbery makes them unsuitable to wield administrative authority here. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). Treated like dirt by many administrators since 2006. (talk) 13:15, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Strongly oppose because WP:No editor is Moses. Not a very active user (talk) 13:23, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - we have five pillars, and any system which has ten is not one which I can support. Stormy clouds (talk) 14:35, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- If it helps, I'm also an Islamic prophet, and they have five pillars. -- Moses
- You were not responsible for them though. If we are going that route, we may need to draw a new candidate. Stormy clouds (talk) 15:13, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- If it helps, I'm also an Islamic prophet, and they have five pillars. -- Moses
- Oppose Ongoing battleground approach against other editors in the Egypt project, I don't see any evidence of proper dispute resolution nor communication skills from this user. I am also troubled by their behavior in Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Israel, where they have demonstrated inadequate understanding of WP:NPOV in their comments ([1][2][3]). Alex Shih (talk) 16:20, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. Seems to be too young to be an administrator. Also, too much of a deletionist. --Tryptofish (talk) 18:35, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Sorry, but it was actually God who did all the work being credited here. --SuperJew (talk) 18:39, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose Why does Moses need the tools? This user keeps violating WP:CRYSTALBALL. Despite Moses being a god, it doesn't mean that it can violate WP:CRYSTALBALL. Pkbwcgs (talk) 20:34, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
