The Roman Mysteries
editYou have inserted redirects for all articles on the individual books in this series on the basis that they are not notable according to the standards of Wikipedia. I think you are probably quite correct BUT there are lots of links to these articles and they all loop back to the series article. You should have updated these links as well, or else leave well alone. Either do a proper job or don't do it at all! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jgk168421 (talk • contribs) 01:06, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems
editHello Not a very active user, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: See the page history, this was a valid stub until recently. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. – Joe (talk) 09:38, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
Afds
editPlease read WP:NEXIST as you are supposed to carry out a thorough search for sources not just comment on the existing state of the article. I suggest you slow down your nominations and check them all as per WP:BEFORE. Also, have you been editing as an ip while using this account? regards Atlantic306 (talk) 17:22, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't always bother to log in when editing. Not a very active user (talk) 04:25, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
- Also, the articles I have been nominating for deletion have been mostly about fictional creatures which don't seem to be mentioned any suitable sources, just some fan wikis and primary sources. @Atlantic306: Have you found any suitable sources discussing the topics of the articles I've been nominating for deletion? Not a very active user (talk) 04:35, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, it is advised to log in when you are editing unless you use a fixed ip address and declare it on your user page, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 14:19, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for informing me. I try to avoid editing anonymously in the future. Not a very active user (talk) 14:33, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
Popular culture
editNot every single article needs to be tagged for popular culture in the deletion sorting list. If you look through the archives articles tagged for that usually have "popular culture" in their names. Its for articles about popular culture, not just things that are part of popular culture since that would be almost everything. Dream Focus 14:14, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Hi, the speed of your nominations for AFD and redirecting indicates you are not following WP:BEFORE which is disruptive. You are also hounding an experienced admin @BOZ:by nominating a large number of his articles without giving him time to do a thorough source-search in response, Atlantic306 (talk) 18:39, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll slow down my nominations. However, I haven't this far found any secondary sources discussing the fictional creatures I have been nominating for deletion. The only mentions I have found have been in primary sources and fan wikis.
- Also, I don't nominate pages for deletion because they are created by a specific user. I nominate them for deletion because they don't meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. If the articles I nominated for deletion were created by someone else, (and a few of them in fact were) I would still have nominated them for deletion. - Atlantic306, I appreciate the concern, truly, but the AFD party has been quite successful lately and is not going to stop or even slow down on my account. Since they have eliminated all of my merge targets, that has effectively throttled most of my AFD participation, so I essentially have surrendered to the rampant deletionism at this point. Sorry to disappoint, but imagine my disappointment. User:Hobit essentially retired yesterday over this point, which I find far more disappointing. BOZ (talk) 14:52, 10 October 2019 (UTC)

Books
editI see that you redirected a whole batch of books on 5 September, declaring them as not satisfying NBOOK. Each of them included an image of the book cover, uploaded to Wikipedia under fair use, and likely to be removed when no longer in use in an article. If these had stayed redirected, those images could have been deleted. If you are concerned about the notability of a book, please tag it with a template to indicate your concern rather than deciding to sweep away the combined work of other editors without warning. I have restored the articles I noticed (looking at Lindsey Davis's page I was astonished to see that the Falco books were all redirects, as I knew they had previously had articles). While redirecting an article is easily reversible up to a point, the effort involved in finding and uploading fair use book cover images is an argument for taking time over removing the content of articles like these. I think it's likely that reviews in serious publications could be found for all LD's books. PamD 15:53, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
