Zahava Burack

edit
  • ... that Zahava Burack survived the Holocaust by hiding in a crawlspace beneath the home of a sympathetic Polish family for two and a half years...? Source: New York Times: "...survived the Holocaust in Poland by hiding from the Nazis for more than two years under the floorboards of a home owned by local Catholic farmers.")
    • ALT1:... that Zahava Burack survived the Holocaust and became a philanthropist dedicated to Jewish and Israeli causes ...? Source: New York Times: "A prodigious fund-raiser, she supported numerous local and national causes."
  • Reviewed: Fewer than 5 DYK credits so not required

5x expanded by Premeditated Chaos (talk). Self-nominated at 22:53, 9 May 2017 (UTC).

  • 5x expanded by the nominator, age and length qualify, well referenced, both hooks ok but I prefer the original one, has inline citation, and Earwig check returned similarities only on quotes. Good for promotion. jojo@nthony (talk) 11:45, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
As a comment, re-reading this, I added "two and a half years" to the end of the hook - I feel like it makes it more impactful. If not, I don't mind if it's removed. ♠PMC(talk) 20:41, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
