Roman Putin

edit

Roman Putin

  • ... that Roman Putin (pictured), who graduated from the Russian Military Academy of Logistics and Transport, is first cousin once removed to Vladimir Putin?
  • Comment: Not a self nomination

  • Is being a relative of Putin really an interesting fact? It is certainly not notable under the Wikipedia definition (WP:INHERIT). I would question whether the sources in the article establish notability. Normally, I would take foreign language references on good faith, but the google translation of the most frequently cited source in the article reads like some kind of resume. • That source, although probably not to be used for disputed facts, is used mainly to source which jobs he was at, written by someone who has also written a book about Vladmir Putin, and the other references seem to generally be from Russian business papers. I rather agree with Spark here. I have nominated this article at AFD, which will determine whether or not this individual is notable enough for an article. If the AFD closes as keep, then this DYK can go forward as normal. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 07:00, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
OK, thanks for the notification. Matty.007 17:05, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
  • I have closed the AfD as delete, and as a result closed this nomination as failed. Harrias talk 13:54, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
