Malawi–Malaysia relations

- ... that the first stop in Mahatir Mohammed's 1997 tour of Africa was to build Malawi–Malaysia relations?

- I'm not sure the hook as written is very good. Isn't there a fact in the article that might be better at catching readers' attention? Abyssal (talk) 19:35, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1: ... that the first stop in Malaysian Prime Minister Mahatir Mohammed's 1997 tour of Africa was to build Malaysia–Malawi relations?
- ALT2: ... that Malaysia builds relations with Malawi by bringing in Malawian visitors as part of South-South programs it runs?
- An enormous chunk of copyvio text was removed on January 22, leaving 150 prose characters. Because a copyvio was involved, the expansion does not count the infringing characters in the number to start from. Since the article currently has 1672 prose characters according to DYKcheck, it meets both the minimum and the 5x expansion. One issue that needs attending to is that the article itself has two stub templates. (DYKcheck picked up on the stub issue.) If the article is no longer a stub, they should be removed; the nomination cannot pass while any stub templates are still valid. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:11, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, I have classed as start and removed stub templates. --99of9 (talk) 21:57, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
- Everything in the article is in order. A newspaper article corroborates the hook fact. I think ALT1 is definitely more interesting than ALT2, but it is phrased a little awkwardly, so how about:
