Wiki-"that fruit tainted during the Mediterranean fruit fly scare be treated with gamma rays instead of being sprayed with malathion."
Source-"that fruit tainted during the Mediterranean fruit fly scare be treated with gamma rays rather than sprayed with malathion."
The article states she graduated with a BS in chemistry, but your source (NNDB) states physics.

- She proposed that, instead of it being sprayed with malathion, fruit affected by the Mediterranean fruit fly could be treated with gamma rays. Is this still too close? I can't imagine how she proposed to do it.
- I presume this was an error. Ware & Braukman say chemistry, as does Leona herself in her book, which I regard as definitive. Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:01, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- Looks fine to me. Good to go! Mgrē@sŏn 12:36, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
