  • This article is new, exceeds the length of prose required, has been nominated within the 7-day timeline from start and meets Wikipedia policies for neutrality and citations. There are many references that I have yet to review before I can comment on the existence of plagiarism or excessively close paraphrasing. I will return to that in a few days. It does not focus on negative aspects of living people. Both images are the author's own work and have been marked as Creative Commons. The nominator has at least one QPQ credited. In my opinion, the base hook is factually correct, but not particularly interesting because it does not differentiate this lake from many others that attract birds. Nor have I found an inline citation to substantiate it. ALT1 is the opposite, and was much more attractive to me. There is an inline citation for that factoid, referring to the Montour County Implementation Plan. Using a manual count, it seems to contain about 108 characters, well within the limit. I would support a nomination using the ALT1 hook. Bruin2 (talk) 04:58, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
I see nothing in the references cited to suggest close paraphrasing, let alone plagiarism. I think the article is a rather good treatment of a rather complex subject, given the wealth of data available about the lake. I support moving the nomination forward with ALT1 as the hook. • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I cannot verify the second part of the hook fact, about being the only reservoir, with the source cited. Yoninah (talk) 23:31, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: It's cited to a list of reservoirs in Montour County. The lake is the only entry on that list; thus the only reservoir in the county. If that doesn't satisfy you, the original hook can also work. --Jakob (talk) 23:50, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks, that second option works for me! Yoninah (talk) 00:06, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
