Kuala Terengganu
edit... that Kuala Terengganu was only granted city status in 2008?
ALT1:... that Kuala Terengganu faces the South China Sea?- Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/Scalebound
Improved to Good Article status by Fikku fiq (talk). Nominated by Sovereign Sentinel (talk) at 08:05, 14 August 2015 (UTC).
- Expansion isn't long enough to qualify. Neither main nor alt are interesting in any way I can see. SkywalkerPL (talk) 09:53, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- WP:WIADYK states: "Articles designated as Good articles within the past seven days, regardless of whether they were expanded, are also eligible." This article has been promoted to GA status within the past 7 days, so it meets the DYK criteria. Feel free to suggest another hook. sovereign°sentinel (contribs) 12:18, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- Suggestion for additional hook to consider:
- Expansion isn't long enough to qualify. Neither main nor alt are interesting in any way I can see. SkywalkerPL (talk) 09:53, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- ALT2:... that part of capital city Kuala Terengganu's name, according to one theory, is derived from terang ganu, Malay for "bright rainbow"? SojoQ (talk) 11:23, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
- Nice! Independent reviewer needed. sovereign°sentinel (contribs) 14:08, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
- This newly promoted GA conforms to the DYK requirements of newness and length. Going for ALT2 which has an inline citation to a Malay language source. The image is appropriately licensed, the article is neutral and the spot checks I made did not reveal any policy issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:58, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
