Humanitarian impacts of U.S. sanctions against Iran
- ... that almost 30 Iranian EB patients – mostly children (an Iranian EB girl pictured) – have reportedly died since Swedish Mölnlycke ceased selling its wound dressing to Iran fearing U.S. sanctions? Source: Al-Jazeera
- ALT1: ... that U.S. sanctions against Iran have adversely impacted Iranian EB kids, known as butterfly kids (an Iranian EB girl pictured), among other patients? Source: UN News

- @Mhhossein: I want to change the hook a little bit. My proposal is,
ALT0: ... that according to the ICICL from The Hague, almost 30 Iranian EB patients – mostly children (an Iranian EB girl pictured) – have reportedly died since Swedish Mölnlycke ceased selling its wound dressing to Iran fearing U.S. sanctions?

- Salam Mehedi Abedin. Thanks for your interest. Being 235 characters, your proposed hook is so longer than the standard count–which is 200 characters.
- @Mhhossein: Then ALT1 will be better I think. But I can't find the sentence (directly or indirectly) of the hook in the article. Can you add the sentence of the hook in the article? Mehedi Abedin 10:04, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

- As a record-keeping matter, though this article is placed under the July 1 section, it was created on June 25 and nominated on July 1, and so is new enough for DYK. The DYK appears in the text and is well sourced, though the hook needs some cosmetic fixing. May I suggest:
- ALT2:... that nearly 30 Iranian EB patients, mostly children (Iranian girl with EB pictured), have reportedly died since Mölnlycke Health Care ceased selling its wound dressing to Iran, fearing U.S. sanctions?
- I would strongly prefer that the accompanying photo be included, though I am unsure if it can under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. Anyways, if the photo passes, the wording will also have to change—"EB girl" sounds a little... odd, and it would probably be in better taste to phrase it as "girl with EB", or "girl with EB sores..." All that aside, I think this DYK passes. Normsupon (talk) 22:57, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review Normsupon. I like your suggestions with regard to the hook and the caption (I will implement them). As for the file, it is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license by the source. --Mhhossein talk 16:52, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
- Alt3 ... that U.S. sanctions against Iran have adversely impacted Iranian children with epidermolysis bullosa, among other patients?
