edit- ... that dessert sauce (example pictured) can be prepared as a hard sauce using alcoholic beverages?

- . Article is long enough for DYK. Hook is interesting, cited and verified. No copy vio noted. Text is neutral. Img is freely licensed. QPQ done. GTG.Nvvchar. 02:40, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- The image seems to show a chocolate and caramel topping, not a hard sauce. Do you want to use the bananas foster image instead? Yoninah (talk) 19:51, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- I think the image is fine, that's why "example pictured" is right after the phrase "dessert sauce", rather than after "hard sauce". North America1000 02:54, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- OK, I guess. I won't be the one to promote this to an image slot. Yoninah (talk) 05:17, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- In view of above, I am glad to give a green tick to this again but without the example picture.Nvvchar. 12:23, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- All right, I suppose, but the image remains as a very nice graphic example of dessert sauce itself. The new article is about dessert sauce, not hard sauce. This is not misleading whatsoever as worded and presented above. It's an exact example of a dessert sauce used on a dessert. Use the image! North America1000 17:23, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- You're right. But the hook is talking about hard sauce, which contradicts the image. Please change the hook to emphasize the dessert sauce and I'll be happy to run such a nice image. Yoninah (talk) 17:34, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Well sure, the hook is about dessert sauce that is prepared hard, as in with alcoholic beverages. Everyone knows what "dessert sauce" means, because the phrase is self-explanatory in nature. This is actually a decent hook to go with, in my opinion, because it expounds upon the topic, rather than simply explaining it. This encourages readers to explore the general topic of sauces in general more deeply; "What's a hard sauce?... never heard of that..." North America1000 17:43, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- At right is the proposed alternate image. A promoter can decide which one to use. With only one image slot, sometimes none are used anyway. North America1000 02:47, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
