Berliner Börsen-Courier
edit- ... that the German left-liberal daily paper Berliner Börsen-Courier published stock exchange data from 1868, had a sports reporter from 1885 and made playwright Bertolt Brecht known in 1922?

- Article is long enough, new enough, but I'm concerned about the fact that some parts are not referenced, including one which you make reference to in the hook. "The Börsen-Courier was the first newspaper in Berlin reporting from the Reichstag and (from 1885) to have a sports section." Diego Grez (talk) 17:36, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sigh, the typical problem: translation from German, where they don't care about inline citations. I found a source for the sports, adjusted the hook, will look for the Reichstag, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:52, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- I didn't find an online source immediately, took the book given as reference de, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:07, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hoping to get this moving after a week: the middle paragraph of the Culture section, with all the circulation figures, is completely unsourced. This would need to be addressed, even though the hook itself appears to be covered by inline sources with the possible exception of Brecht, where the article's "raised attention for" doesn't seem to justify the hook's far stronger "made [Brecht] known", implying that he was unknown before the paper made him, if not famous, a recognizable figure. - Brecht: this was the first play of him ever performed, the review made him known, I can change that in the article. - Will copy the book source if that helps. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:21, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
- German wikipedia is better sourced than any other wikipedia but they certainly haven't the demand for heavy inline sourcing that we have on here. And that can be frustrating when it appears OR and google books picks up nothing, I agree, I personally like to source every fact as much as possible, I feel we have a duty to allow readers to verify every fact in the article. Some people disagree, I noticed Bgwhite for instance removed citations from my Rufe Persful article yesterday where I thought they were needed.♦ Dr. Blofeld 22:26, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
- All paragraphs are sourced, as are the various hook facts; the article has been edited so that the Brecht claim in the hook is now echoed and sourced in the article. Sources AGF, since several are in German, including at least one hook fact. Long enough and new enough per Diego Grez above. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:31, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
