Barony and Castle of Kilbirnie
edit- ... that Kilbirnie Castle (ruins pictured) is said to be located at the site where in 1263 the Scots mustered before fighting Norwegian forces in the Battle of Largs?
- ALT1:... that Kilbirnie Castle (ruins pictured) in North Ayrshire includes a 15th-century keep with walls that are 7 to 8 feet thick?

- This is an impressive article. It is well written, new enough, long enough and well sourced. The image is fine. Most of the sources, including those of both hooks, are off line. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:52, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
