Andrea Cambini
edit- ... that in the early 16th century Andrea Cambini wrote a notable history of the Ottoman Empire although he had never left Italy?

- Very bordeline stub, I'll give it a good faith OK, but let it open for the editor who closes this nomination. 1558 characters, in which 247 are the names of his books (and usually this isn't excluded but here the latin book names are so long that a Bibliography section alone would make an article, if you just enlist it as an article). There's nothing important said about him, just his works. Hook isn't interesting neither. It wasn't unusual at the time that scholars/historians wrote chronicles within their home borders. Early records on the Magyars were wrote in Eastern Europe though their authors never rode with them. Also did you move your article from userspace? I mean you put it under December 3rd nominations but actually its expansion started at 2nd. Anyway it looks good if you address these things I tend to give it a GTG but it's very thin. - Length of the article: it is now 1,874. Without characters from the book titles it is still more than 1,500.
- Work: Cambini is notable because of his work which is relevant for the subject of the article and one of the important reasons for readers' interest in him.
- The hook: I don't think you are right here. Works on Ottoman empire in the 15th and 16th century were written by people who had some personal experience with Ottomans, unlike Cambini.
- Date of creation: No, I did not move this article from userspace. If I put this nomination in December 3rd it was a mistake. I completed expansion on January the 3rd so I guess that would be the best location for the template.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 01:36, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- Per DYK rules "The date to post your nomination under is the date when the article was created or the expansion of the article began". So next time put it under the day when you started the revamp. But as I promised I'll give it a pass. Lajbi Holla @ me • CP 09:57, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing to this quotation. In future I will take care about this.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 11:07, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
