Alai Darwaza
edit- ... that Alai Darwaza is the first Indian monument which was built using Islamic methods of construction and ornamentation?

- Comment: Although not neccessary for DYK, I don't think the sentence "It's load is transferred to the ground due to the geometrical techniques used in it's construction" adds anything of value to the article, as this is an essential aspect of construction engineering. Also, please consider adding appropriate WikiProject banners on the talk page. Mindmatrix 18:55, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
- Nominated on the same day it was created (overtop a redirect), and clears the length requirement. QPQ completed. Image is used in infobox, is freely licenced, and looks OK at the scale required for DYK. I will assume good faith for the sources I cannot access. Everything else looks good. I've made a few phrasing tweaks without changing the context. Mindmatrix 18:55, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: I have also inspected Qutb Minar complex (the target of the original redirect), finding little overlap of text, mostly about the first use of Islamic style. Mindmatrix 18:59, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
- I forgot to mention the hook is of suitable length and matches the cited sourced. Mindmatrix 19:05, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Mindmatrix: The information about dome has been removed. The required banners have been added at the talk page. RRD (talk) 13:40, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
