Edit request from Nascarking, 3 May 2011

edit

This page was redirected to the wrong page. It should've been redirected to List of WWE Pay-Per-View events instead of WWE. Request that this be re redirected to the right page (that being List of WWE Pay-Per-View events).

edit

The event is approaching and it needs a page like the others.

Match List

edit

I highly doubt that A.J. Styles will compete for the WWE Championship at Capitol Punishment. Mainly because he doesn't even work for the WWE and never has. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.168.192.219 (talk) 22:32, 5 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Self reference to Wikipedia

edit

I have removed the self reference (However, they cited this Wikipedia entry for the background of the event (that explains the scripted nature) as the same way the government functions.) to Wikipedia (again) for a couple of reasons:

  • While not explicitly covered in Wikipedia:Manual of Style (self-references to avoid), in general it says to avoid referencing Wikipdia in articles that are not about Wikipedia or those involved with it.
  • While the NBC sports article is referencing Wikipedia, Wikipedia is not considered a reliable source as it is user generated content.
  • That NBC sports cited the Wikipedia article on WWE Capitol Punnishment is really not relevant to the event.
  • The whole thing is a circular reference. Wikipedia reports on WWE→NBC cites Wikipedia→Wikipedia cites NBC as citing Wikipedia. So really it is Wikipedia citing itself, and again, Wikipedia is not a reliable source.

Alright I can see where this is going and let's just not start this before we have an edit war. We already have a Afd Discussion going on again and edit warring won't help us.--Voices in my Head WWE 02:47, 5 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

edit

A match has just been announced. Miz vs. Alex Riley. it needs to be added. I would add it but I'm not an admin.

New Match

edit

72.22.125.67 (talk) 03:47, 7 June 2011 (UTC)72.22.125.67 I agree with Nascarking. They announced on Raw that The Miz vs. Alex Riley will take place at Capitol Punishment.Reply

Yup. That should be added to the page now! ^_^ 92.235.168.144 (talk) 17:00, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please state exactly what you want added and where. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 19:55, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
I am almost certain that what is being asked for is for the second match (MIZ vs Riley) to be added to the existing match table in the section called Matches that currently has the one entry for Cena vs R Truth.--76.69.169.220 (talk) 22:54, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Big update to the page

edit

When I get the time, I'll probably help with updating the page along with citing more references as I did with WWE Over the Limit, but please do try to do it as well. Let's all try to keep this page up to WP's standards. I do not want to get this article deleted.121.54.92.137 (talk) 03:58, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Section: Matches (Update)

edit

There are now four matches announced for the card. References are linked

John Cena (c) v R-Truth in a Singles Match for the WWE Championship http://www.wwe.com/shows/capitolpunishment/2011/25019952

Alex Riley v The Miz in a Singles Match http://www.wwe.com/shows/capitolpunishment/2011/miz-vs-riley

Randy Orton (c) v Christian in a Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship http://www.wwe.com/shows/capitolpunishment/2011/randy-orton-christian

Wade Barrett (c) v Ezekiel Jackson in a Singles Match for the Intercontinental Championship http://www.wwe.com/shows/capitolpunishment/2011/wade-barrett-ezekiel-jackson

These should be added to the "Matches" table

If these aren't enough to make the page relevant, I have no idea what will be

The ability to edit the page should be lifted

edit

Why is this page frozen to edits? It doesn't make since. This Sunday, June 19, 2011, Father's Day, WWE Capitol Punishment is going to happen from the USA's nation's capital, Washington, D.C. I found one error in the "Matches" table that needs to be fixed, a minor edit, but cannot edit the "Matches" table because the page is frozen. Please remove the freezing of the page so that this page can be edited correctly. Gibsonj338 (talk) 13:33, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Because of another edit war.Voices in my Head WWE 16:29, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Nascarking, you should have requested semi-protection when you requested it to be protected, because the main edit war was involving an IP. I didn't see any reason for it to be fully protected.--kelapstick(bainuu) 21:22, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's been changed to Semi.--Voices in my Head WWE 23:12, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
