Title
editSo every reliable third party source refers to the game as WWE 2K14, while the publisher in it's announcement of taking over the WWE video game rights only once refers to it as WWE '14. A consensus needs to be reached, do we follow the reliable third party sources or the one time the name is mentioned in the publishers announcement (which IMO could have been written before they decided to change the name)? I move to use WWE 2K14 until the title is otherwise proven per the reliable third-party sources. CRRaysHead90 | Get Some! 01:30, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

- So it's going to be WWE 2K14. I thought 2K Sports would wait until 2014 to start calling it WWE 2K. Should WWE Games change to reflect the name change too? Keith Okamoto (talk) 02:12, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
What I see in the sources is attribution to the single ESPN story, which says: "Now that “WWE 14” is under the 2K Sports umbrella, look for the game to also feature a slight change in name. Coming this fall: “WWE 2K14.” This sounds like a prediction, and even if we take it at face value, it speaks of this name change in future tense. For the time being, the source straight from the horse's mouth trumps any speculation from secondary sources. They make the game, they decide what it's called. Also note that the same ESPN article twice refers to the game in the present tense as "WWE 14" (without an apostrophe). InedibleHulk (talk) 02:38, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
- So someone's decided to move the page, without any new source calling it 2K14, and keeping the sources from WWE and 2K calling it WWE '14. Nonsense. This should be moved back, or someone needs to add a legit source (one that doesn't refer to the ESPN story). InedibleHulk (talk) 20:34, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
- I've added a legit source for WWE 2K14. InedibleHulk (talk) 20:57, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
Mention title confusion in article?
editI notice there's still some back and forth editing about what it's called, and there's a lot out there on the wider web calling it both names. People may be confused and look here for answers. So maybe a section explaining it for them? Sort of a timeline of events. 2K calls it WWE '14 in their licence announcement, ESPN suggests a name change to 2K14, a billion Internet sites recycle it as fact, WWE drops a press release hours later calling it '14, half a billion sites update their articles with the correction. Then Stephanie McMahon tweets strongly implying it's called 2K14, and 2K picks up on the implication and states it as fact. Weird circle, but at least it's verifiable now, whether it's true or not.
Yeah? No? InedibleHulk (talk) 00:03, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
Roster?
editJust a general query, should there be a section on the article with the roster on it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bgs893 (talk • contribs) 05:56, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
- No, consensus is not to include rosters for wrestling games. — Richard BB 07:49, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
Russian Version
editGuys, take a look at our Russian version of article is better than yours. Translate the text from it in your article. With respect, Genrikh VIII (talk) 07:22, 23 October 2013 (UTC).
- There's a few issues with doing this. Firstly, I'm sure there's a rule that states we can't copy and paste text, even from another Wikipedia language. Secondly, much of the content on the Russian article is unsourced, particularly in the latter half. Finally, we have a consensus on our Wiki not to include certain things like character rosters, which are included in your version. Thanks for the thought, however. — Richard BB 09:01, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- I was referring to the transfer of elements of the Russian articles in your language and include them in the article. I didn't mean to imply that we should copy the entire text of the article, just your article looks like something smaller.--Genrikh VIII (talk) 09:11, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
The DLC was announced. Maybe someone more established (hint) can add it.PeterMan844 (talk) 05:56, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Scratch logo
edit2K14 wasn't the last game to feature the scratch logo, it's still in the game as of the current 2K20 in several capacities, such as on retro championship titles, retro arenas, some past clothing items in Creation Suite, and so on. Spartan198 (talk) 03:51, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
