How do we know the photos are of the Ussuri subspecies?

edit

This subspecies is probably extinct in the wild, having been reported for the last time in the mid-2000s, and being absent from most of its alleged range since the 1970s.[1] And there is nothing in Commons about the origins of the pictured animals, other than they are in a Dutch zoo. Wikipedia can't know that unless someone investigates. You could write to the Swedish zoo or the English one. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 01:16, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
