I'm uncomfortable with the first paragraph talking about threesomes in the context of marriage. Particulary this statement: "In most cases it is a one time act by a married couple with a third partner, and not intended to be carried on further" I don't think there is any basis for saying that it is more commonly practiced by married couples or that it is intended to be a one event. Anyone have any evidence of that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gwendelen (talk • contribs) 17:50, 14 December 2006
i dunno where i'd even look for this, but when i googled, the first comment i saw on reddit said "a 3-some is golf; a 3-way is sex". lol. pretty close to my (US) experience.
there's a few discussions on stackexchange and wordreference about this, suggesting, indeed, BrE vs AmE, but i don't think either of those are considered RS. (besides, they got totally sidetracked by "ménage à trois", which many of us use as a synonym for 3-way.) 2601:19C:527F:A660:D94A:ECD9:C37E:3734 (talk) 09:53, 23 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
