- Re. the enquiry on this Talk page, posted at 14:28 on 14 January 2009, about a:
- Thomson Television 20DG16KE Type:449/TX807 which i bought in 2000.
- Your televison set was probably made by Thomson-CSF, a French company, which made television sets and other consumer electrical products with the brand name "Thomson".
- Thomson-Houston Electric Company, a USA-based company, existed a long time ago, well before television sets were invented. AnameisbutanameTalk 12:15, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
Parent / Subsidiary not accurate
editThe Infobox is in error with the "Parent" as General Electric, because Thomson-Houston didn't exist as a named entity after the merger with Edison Electric. The "Subsidiary" Type is similarly in error for the same reason.
I'm removing the Parent and Type, leaving only Successor which is accurate.
If I come up with the appropriate Type (something other than "Subsidiary") I'll add that back later.
