As a matter of fact, I liked the story of Kingdom Come very much, as well because of its art as because of the story. I found that a good direction was put in the same way as Marvel Comics had before, in what the future in both universes looks like. However, although I liked the story of The Kingdom (of course, the art cannot be compared), I disliked the concept of hypertime; not because it wouldn't be interesting but because of it repercussions as a second arrival of the multiverse that was before so difficult to evade (i.e. through the Crisis on Infinite Earths, that surely represents, in my point of view, one of the climax in comic-events and -writing). Later, the factical reappearance of the multiverse, with all Earth-3 and so long, made me doubt on DC's self-consistency and care for their own work. This had happen, before (so, I believe) with the Superman series which, other than the case in the ones of Batman, did not show the character of the comics, but anotherone, inspired in it, making the distance grow between how people see and believe is Superman and how the comic character is, here, especially he post-crisis Superman, founded especially by Byrne in the Man of Steel mini-series. I believed, this return to the "Superman is only for kids"-idea was wrong, and I felt it a shame that Marvel Comics had been able to stay true to its characters in suc a far better way than DC. At the end, this and the changings of art, which for me was not anymore what it used to be, led me to stop buying comics regularly. However, The Kingdom surely is interesting and in many ways a good prequel to Kingdom Come.Nbez 11:43, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Thekingdomtpb.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
