SPOILER?

edit

In the arcade version, they're not cyborgs, though "Martha Splatterhead" might be.

The SNES version introduces a story that doesn't seem to be told in the arcade version.

If anyone is a cyborg it seems to be Martha Splatterhead, since she has no muscle mass and fights in heels, yet she's stronger than the three main characters. She has some kind of electricity flowing across her body and can split into two.

Actually in the arcade, that Martha is the final boss is a SPOILER, since all throughout the game you're lead to believe that this large business-suit wearing man is the final bad guy (a stereotypical "Mr. Big" type dude). Instead, Martha murders him and attacks you herself!

Perhaps this difference should be worked into the text somehow?

The arcade doesn't tell you the SNES story, it just says Bullova, Berserker and Blitz, tells you how to play and sends you off fighting street gangs, then at the end it says the Combatribes defeated her and went away and nobody knows where.

9/11 Censorship?

edit

So the Virtual Console version (of the SNES port) changes "Ground Zero" to Guilty Zero (pre-9/11, "Ground Zero" was a clear reference to a nuclear explosion). I wonder if the many instances of the World Trade Center towers are altered as well? (Title Screen and ending sequence showed them). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.22.221.88 (talk) 08:40, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Blitz's name

edit

On the page it says "Blitz" short for "blitzkreig" but is there a source for that?

Blitz just means lightning in german, and is a popular english term from the term for a linebacker or safety rushing in American Football. So unless its sourced i'd like to see that changed. 2601:154:C000:4CF0:500:3A3A:5B24:A759 (talk) 02:16, 14 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
