Park Name
editOn 2008-03-27, this article was renamed to Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park (from Stonewall Jackson Resort State Park) following a discussion by users WVhybrid and bmpowell. This name is the park's original name and continues to be its legal name. [1]
After the resort lodge was constructed, the names Stonewall Jackson Resort and then Stonewall Resort were used for it, sometimes with the tag State Park appended to the end. These names were just for marketing purposes and did not reflect a change in the official name of the park.Brian Powell (talk) 03:13, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Obsolete Discussion
editThis article is not correctly named. The decision was made a while ago to name the articles precisely as named by the West Virginia State Parks system. Please see the discussion at Talk:List of West Virginia state parks. If you disagree with the discussion on about the naming convention, please leave you comments here.
