We have a Wikipedia article on Stepan Bandera, so this article only needs to give only the briefest of info about him. For instance, I just removed a couple of sentences about a medal he was awarded in 2010, as this is unconnected to the monument. (I added it to See also.) Any content here not related to the statue is at risk of being WP:SYNTH. I notice we have a total of three footnotes here (out of 16) that actually mention the statue, raising questions about the notability of this topic. (None of them are in English, one is a dead link to a local paper, and I'm not sure if any are reliable.) This imbalance needs addressing. BobFromBrockley (talk) 14:20, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
That bit about the award goes much better as a link in the 'See also' section. On an unrelated note, thanks for reorganizing parts of the super-bloated lede into a background section, and for the paragraph on Bandera's life. It's good to have a 'cliff-notes' version of the main article about a person on monument articles, just so that people have some idea what the monument is commemorating. Good stuff. Oh, also, a few days ago I was reading miscellaneous news about this, and there was some reference to this particular monument being the subject of Russian war propaganda - I should've made a note of it or added it straight to the article, but I didn't, and now I'm afraid I've lost track of it. If I can find that again, I'll put it in. If someone else independently comes across an article about that, please do consider adding it yourself. Cheers. Joe (talk) 02:10, 29 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
