"The character has a mostly positive reception." is true and don't get me wrong I love my man Snufkin, but this section could be a bit beefed up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alicepow8 (talk • contribs) 20:11, 17 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Apologies for accidentially adding {{msg:delete}}. The text sounded like nonsense to me before i noticed the link to the Moomins and the japanese language version. Sorry. -- Chris 73 | Talk10:31, 6 May 2004 (UTC)Reply
However, is this character really worth an entry on its own, or can this be incorporated into the Moomin entry and redirected there? --Robert Merkel13:21, 6 May 2004 (UTC)Reply
With the best will in the world, and all due respect and so forth, this illustration should be removed. It's s a bit like someone else's idea of Van Gogh's Sunflowers, or Michaelangelo's David. Cooke (talk) 23:22, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
I see where you're coming from. My rationale for placing it was that all images created by the original author are copyright, and will be for some time. However, a visual representation of the character in question adds significant value to the article. It wouldn't be the same if no fair-use image was available of Angelina Jolie, so someone sketched one and uploaded it, but as a cartoon character, it's different. I may be totally off-base here, though, and if you feel like it should be removed, please remove it. Be bold!Goystontalk, contribs, play07:07, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hi Goyston, I'm going to remove it, with great reluctance, because it was clearly placed there with the best of intentions; but I'm glad that you fully understand why.
Sorry, but I have removed another pic. I recognize that it would be nice to have a picture but the wrong one is worse than no picture at all. Snufkin is a fictional character in a series of novels, and we don't need a picture of him. Any pics other than those drawn by Tove Jansson are misleading and counterproductive. This article has had {{notability}} added to it. Looking at the sources, I find it difficult to understand what's lacking. Please explain? Notability seems well established. /Julle (talk) 10:30, 23 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
