Name of event

edit

Spike (TV channel) said

Beginning in 2007, the Scream Awards was renamed, simply, Scream.

but that's just clutter there even if true. And that supposed name is so ambiguous that it will not be widely enuf used to be the proper title of the accompanying article. But if there is evidence that they stop promoting it except without the word "... Awards" immediately after, it should be mentioned in the accompanying article.

Update

edit

The article needs to be updated to show the 2011 Awards, rather than 2010 Awards. Alphius (talk) 00:46, 17 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nigerian awards

edit

Please note there is a Scream All Youth Awards given in Nigeria which started in 2014. That should get its own page. https://www.independent.ng/scream-all-youth-awards-2020-to-hold-august-16/ AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 15:27, 3 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

In my opinion, those particular "Scream Awards" would need a seperate Wikipedia page of their very own. This page is really only concerned with the "Scream Awards" run by Spike TV. Whilst both of these events coincidently share the same name, they both appear to be run by different organisations in different countries. SMargan (talk) 08:54, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sponsors

edit

I recently added a fair amount of content to this Scream Awards page, however, there was one section that I was really not sure whether I was meant to add. There was plenty of information about the sponsors of the Scream Awards each year in the media releases, indeed, one of the sponsors is quoted in the "Audience" section, for the characterisation of the audience as male-centric. However, I am still not sure whether the "Sponsors" section was something that should have been added. Indeed, at this point in time, I am reticent about adding a sentence about each year's sponsors to each of the 'year'ed Scream Awards pages, i.e. 2006 Scream Awards, 2007 Scream Awards etc, even though the data is clearly available. I would love to hear other editors views on this. Please feel free to give me your thoughts in this new discussion thread on this issue. SMargan (talk) 11:28, 10 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Missing "competitive category" table nominations

edit

Some of the categories in the "competitive category" table only have one nomination at the moment, i.e. the winner. This is because this information is not in any of the 'inline citation' sources for the nominations, and I have not been able to view the actual broadcast of this show. I am trying to locate a copy of this broadcast, as we speak. It could be that there is only one nomination for each of these categories, as sometimes happens (especially for "Online Write-in Awards" - no evidence of this yet!), however, this still needs to be confirmed and double-checked.

In addition, in the "Best TV Show" category, the sources varyingly include either "Heroes" or "Lost", but never both. It could be that there were 6 nominations, instead of 5, however, this needs to be double-checked. Up until that time, I have included both nominations. Does anyone want to discuss this?
