Fancruft and computer games

edit

A fancruft template was placed at the top of this article a while ago (not by me). I think though, the more relevant problem is WP:IINFO, which says that wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. The games listed fell into two categories. The first, games in which Nakajima appeared, is surely indiscriminate: generally all drivers from a given season will feature in an F1 game (subject to licensing). There's nothing notable as such about Nakajima's appearance in them. The second category, effectively products that he endorsed, is more relevant, but I still question whether we need a listing of them as opposed to a (referenced) sentence saying something like: "Nakajima's fame in his native Japan meant that his name and image were used to promote a number of racing games in the late 1980s and early 1990s". 4u1e (talk) 13:58, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
