- Samu (footballer) → Samu (footballer, born 1996)
- Samuel San José Fernández → Samu (footballer, born 1984)
– No WP:COMMONNAME for footballers named Samu, so disambiguate to standard. Redirect Samu (footballer) to Samu. As per WP:MAIDEN, latter footballer's WP:COMMONNAME always omits both last names and is better known as "Samu" or "Samuel". Ortizesp (talk) 19:12, 3 May 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. - Oppose - Samuel San José Fernández is known as 'Samuel' per BDFutbol external link and Marca reference. GiantSnowman 11:40, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
- Would Samuel (footballer, born 1984) work better? I used "Samu" for the latter footballer, because he is still called that at "La Preferente" and I figured it would be a fit WP:HNDIS. There are several other footballers that go by Samu, so I think it has to be disambiguated.-@GiantSnowman: (talk) 04:11, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Propposing the second footballer be moved to Samuel (footballer, born 1984), as per User:GiantSnowman.--Ortizesp (talk) 17:01, 7 May 2020 (UTC)- Standing by initial nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 14:46, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- It is fairly standard for Spanish players to be known in that country by their given name, but this is English Wikipedia and I am not sure disambiguating like that is useful. GiantSnowman 07:08, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- He doesn't go by either of his last names at all, so I think "Samu" or "Samuel" are the best options. I'll stand by "Samu" as per WP:HNDIS, as he uses that name in La Preferente.--Ortizesp (talk) 14:46, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
