Coordinates
editPlease note that the coordinates for this article are the coordinates for the approximate location shown on this map. Although the map shows the symbol to be more on the Canadian side of the lake, these two sources 1 and 2 state that the wreck is in Michigan waters. Please note that the article is still a work in progress, and as such, some sections are still blank. The lead hook is my preferred hook.

- Interesting ship fate, told in detail on good sources, no copyvio obvious. The image is licensed and gives a good idea of size and time. I also prefer the original hook, as more unique. - Before going to WP:GA, please fix ref order - they should be numerical ascending, and 5 6 7 are often not in that order. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:30, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

- @Gerda Arendt: I have sorted the problem with the references. GreatLakesShips (talk) 13:31, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- @GreatLakesShips: We just promoted a similar hook to Prep 2, and you have a similar hook at Template:Did you know nominations/SS S.R. Kirby, though there you offer an alt hook which is actually better. Could you suggest something else here? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 22:33, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: The second ALT hook still involves the discovery of the wreck, but it is significantly different from the lead hook. GreatLakesShips (talk) 22:44, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you. Back to Gerda for review. Yoninah (talk) 22:45, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Struck off lead hook as per your request. GreatLakesShips (talk) 22:48, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- I revived it, but approve the other also. The prep builder can decide if we choose the lesser hook to avoid repetition. Not without irony that just yesterday I made remark about avoiding repetition. I'd have less reservation about ALT1 if we could show it on the day mentioned, but we hardly wait to April 30 ;) - - perhaps "in April 1909" if going that way, - or wait a few weeks? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:48, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: I like the new hook the most and like ALT1 the least, but we can let the prep builder decide. GreatLakesShips (talk) 09:37, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- If you and I like the same best, let's make it easier for the prep builder. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:42, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
