Data inconsistency

edit

This article says that Takai was interned here, but this article Tule Lake War Relocation Center says the same thing and states a resource. This article doesn't provide a reference for the Takai fact and someone deleted the unsourced template I added without correcting the situation. BTW, I don't know who you are. Let's just stick to the facts, eh? Medusa9 07:22, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I added a link to George Takei's bio on his official site. His family was sent to Rohwer first, then got moved to Tule Lake later in the war. This is stated in the George Takei article as well. Like I said in the edit summary: I didn't add the fact about Takei, but whoever did, probably thought the sourcing on the Takei page was sufficient. Problem solved? --Brianyoumans 12:46, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
More details about the Takei family, including their internment, are in his autobiography, To the Stars. 208.110.159.78 (talk) 22:57, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Expansion and Cleanup

edit

This article was recently tagged as needing expansion and as needing cleanup. That may be so, but more specific suggestions would be helpful, per Wikipedia guidelines on use of Expansion tag, and the prominent tag placement is just a discouragement to the reader and editors, IMHO. I removed the tags for now. Please advise here on specific ways to improve the article. doncram 18:20, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shooting of residents by a civilian at Rohwer section

edit

I've verified that the JSTOR citation does say that the internees in that incident were from Rohwer, but the National Park Services page on the nearby Jerome War Relocation Center describes an incident which must be the same one, says that the internees were from Jerome, attributes it to a contemporary newspaper account, and describes Jerome as "the site of the only known shooting of evacuees by local civilians." Not having access to the newspaper account mentioned there, I'm going to let this stand here, but thought I'd note the discrepancy between sources.
