Deleted material regarding education

edit

Editor deleted this material "...attended Washington and Lee University, Lexington Kentucky, in the pre-law program. He became interested in theatre with his work in the theatre department, and went on to study...", with no edit summary and no other explanation. I have restored the maerial and am requesting an explanation. JeanColumbia (talk) 18:57, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oh my, I do not know what to do with this statement, but, I know enough not to get into an WP:EDITWAR, and also not to flirt with WP:3R, so I'll sit back and... JeanColumbia (talk) 19:52, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I restored the above education material today, but if anyone feels strongly, just delete and I'll certainly not get involved again. I think there was something else here that I responded to back in March '09, but it was deleted.JeanColumbia (talk) 19:14, 29 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

future productions...

edit

I think I have read somewhere that Wikipedia isn't supposed to take part in predicting the future. I don't tend to "be bold" about deleting material that may be of interest, but I know that in many cases these items tend to get out of date. I was trying to figure out how to edit the page to acknowledge NBC's The Sound of Music Live!, and decided to check whether any of these "future productions" had slipped into the past, or possibly evaporated altogether. Here's what I found, intended to help future editors (other than those with inside information) in figuring out whether edits are called for:

  • "a musical version of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland for Disney": I couldn't find this one
  • "Carmen at Houston Grand Opera": according to houstongrandopera.org, scheduled for April 25-May 14, 2014.
  • "Barber of Seville at Chicago Lyric Opera": according to lyricoperra.org, February 1-28, 2014
