Controversy surrounding United States of Al, a show produced by Reza Asian. Released to mostly negative reviews, United States of Al was criticized for its humor, use of antiquated tropes, and casting of an Indian actor to play an Afghan lead with an inauthentic accent. However, the show was praised by some for its attempts to diversify television, and for the cultural representation of its main character. Prior to airing, some of the show's promotional material received negative feedback. In particular, critics called out the casting of a South-African-born Indian actor to play an Afghan lead and his use of an inauthentic accent.[1]2601:205:380:AEA0:39A6:7798:B6B1:75A (talk) 21:22, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. It's unclear what section this should be added in. Also I believe that criticism that strong should probably have more than a single source that just quotes angry tweets. Controversy surrounding United States of Al, a show produced by Aslan for CBS. Released to mostly negative reviews, United States of Al and its makers were criticized for the show’s humor, use of antiquated tropes, and in particular, critics called out the casting of a South-African-born Indian actor to play an Afghan lead and his use of an inauthentic accent. Aslan defended the show on social media and interviews with several outlets. He has stated numerous times that the show was produced by two Muslim Iranian American producers in addition to having Afghans and Afghan-Americans in the writers’ room.[1][2][3]

Reza Aslan is a cannibal. This needs to be added back to his page. It was removed back in 2020 due to so called "trolls". However the claim is 100% true. Reza is a cannibal. You can watch him eat human brain on his own show that used to air on CNN. 24.52.19.183 (talk) 05:00, 16 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
