The are plenty of missing pieces in the discussion of the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Among the topics that should be added or expanded are:
There is only a brief mention of the Disney years and their proposed theme park expansion in the Trivia section. This should be moved up as a subsection of the Long Beach section and expanded.
The Wrather Corp. era
The lawsuit between the city of Long Beach and the RMS Foundation
The lawsuit(s) between the Foundation and minority investors
More on the Spruce Goose, and especially more on the dome that remained (use for filming, proposed uses, etc.)
some information on the collection of tourist shops next to the queen Mary
some more info on the special events on or next to the Queen Mary (the Halloween attraction: Queen Mary Dark Harbor, the Scottish festival, etc.)
the current article has nothing on the short-lived Jacques Cousteau museum.

1. In the first instance I have noted that in the pages of the various British ships - Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, Mauretania etc, the flag of the country of origin is now shown as the Blue Ensign. Whilst many of these ships regularly flew the Blue Ensign, this would have been due to the situation whereby the Captain at that time was a member of the Royal Naval Reserve. The normal ensign for all British merchantmen was & is the Red Ensign. In my opinion, all these pages should be revised.
2. In an edit of 21 Aug 2016 I added the flag of the City of Long Beach in this section. As of 11 December 2017 the Queen Mary has been the property of the City of Long Beach for 50 years; by comparison, she was under British registration for only 31 years. On this basis I felt that the additional flag was warranted. I am therefore wondering why it has (at some stage) been removed? (Richard Tennant (talk) 19:25, 9 January 2018 (UTC))Reply

The reason for misunderstanding what the provided souces say is unclear. One very obviously says "The Queen Mary". The other very clearly says the historical names (plural) are "RMS Queen Mary" and "HMT Queen Mary". While I can understand the argument against the "HMT" designation being mentioned in the lede, as the ship held it for only a few years, the repreated attempts to claim in this article that the aforementioned sources support something they obviously don't are as baffling as the "justifications" for them, "repetition" (no), "the ship only had one name" (not quite), and "only one person is adding this" (so what?). ₪MIESIANIACAL15:47, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
