My thanks to User:Rigby27 for taking the time to craft a good article on an important subject of Maine history and economics, but four billion (what) of oil have been pumped through the pipeline? I would guess gallons or barrels, and hope for a metric equivalent. My high school classmates grew up on the pipeline and were part of the crew that rehabilitated it during the Vietnam war. It was their first job away from home, a rite of passage into adulthood, and the source of countless stories through the years that followed. Thewellman (talk) 04:31, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
