Formula One Driver
editIt states in the Wiki article that Profirio was a "Formula One" race car driver. I think not. The Formula One Database (http://www.f1db.com/tiki-index.php) does not show his name.
I did find his name as having driven in the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans. (http://les24hdumans.free.fr/joomla/index.php?option=com_search&Itemid=5&searchword=rubirosa&submit=Rechercher&searchphrase=any&ordering=newest)—Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.9.16.146 (talk) 00:48, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

"His last marriage was at age 56 in 1965 to then-19-year-old French actress Odile Rodin. After an all-night celebration at the Paris nightclub "Jimmy's" in honor of winning the Coupe de France polo cup, Rubirosa crashed his Ferrari into some trees and died early in the morning on July 5, 1965.
Born January 22, 1909(1909-01-22) San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic Died June 5, 1965 (aged 56) Bois de Boulogne, France"
The Bold text indicates two different dates of death that are included on his page. Can someone fix this? Thanks!64.179.15.87 (talk) 19:27, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Another fact is that he was the Dominican Ambassador in Havana during the Cuban Revolution. Callelinea (talk) 19:28, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- In fact, beyond saying he was a diplomat, the article doesn't say what position he held in the Dominican diplomatic corps. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 18:26, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
The Palm Beach Story
editThis Preston Sturges film has a polo-playing playboy character called 'Toto', supposedly based on Rubirosa. Worth a mention? 2600:100C:B20A:3C3D:2D97:6CE9:CED2:45CB (talk) 06:18, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
