Drawbacks of PCIe?
Scanning the article, I dint see any or a section on that. 74.60.161.158 (talk) 14:04, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Lane x12 omitted
Statements such as, "Physical PCIe slots may contain from one to thirty-two lanes, in powers of two (1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32)" fail to list x12. There are a few references to the lanes and x12 is never mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.186.191.121 (talk) 22:04, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, ×12 configuration was already mentioned in the PCI Express § Physical layer section. I'd say that the reason why it wasn't mentioned everywhere is because the ×12 configuration is quite uncommon; I've never seen (or heard of) an ×12 PCI Express card or a slot specifying to support such cards. However, went ahead and edited the article so the existence of x12 configuration is better explained. Thank you for pointing that out! — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 22:20, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
PCIe 3.x
The statement "PCI Express 3.1 specification is scheduled to be released in late 2013 or early 2014," needs to be updated by someone who is up-to-date on the current state of development. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.183.150.117 (talk) 17:55, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hello! Based on information available from the PCI-SIG website, PCI Express 3.1 specification is not yet released. Went ahead and updated that paragraph. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 07:23, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
