Hmm. Why the removal of the Shuri no Mon? I think it's a rather nice photo that would fit in well, if the article was longer (and it will be). I think at least we need to keep it in mind once we lengthen the article again. --William McDuff 08:12, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thanks --- I liked it too (it was mine) and Japanese User:Ultratomio put it on the Japanese article too. BTW, it's Shurei no Mon (守礼門), not Shuri, even though it's associated with Shuri Castle in Shuri. (Gates of Japanese castles often have names, a famous one being Ōte-mon at Edo Castle.)
Also, I took the photo of Shuri Castle. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if it's reversed right-to-left. It'd be difficult to locate; I estimate there are ten thousand slides in boxes in the closet... so can anyone confirm that it's right? I think I might have even uploaded a reversed copy to Commons in case it's wrong. Fg2 11:34, Jun 12, 2005 (UTC)
  • So sorry, i deleted it because it can be found on the Shuri Castle page, it's okay if it's added again, but i have quite alot of pictures of the city since i lived there for 6 years, i'd rather add some pics of kumoji area, kokusai and heiwa streets, you're right about its name being shurei-mon the actual original was named Chuzan before it was torn down during the meiji era. I think the shuri wall pic is on northern side of an inner wall. ahh, i remember trying to climb into shuri one night, it didn't work thou there r some nice spots on the N side(^.^)/ Sqkvii 04:46, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Nafa

edit

Nafa is one of the missing articles. After some digging ([1]) I believe this is a reference to Naha. I'm creating a redirect from Nafa to here. --Fang Aili 15:55, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Climate

edit

I replaced the infobox with an older version ([2]), due to at least one user deliberately introducing errors. The information in that revision appears to be the same as the information in the source. Hanacy (talk) 07:46, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why does infobox have address & phone?

edit

The infobox contains a street address and a telephone number, with no indication of what they are for. This article is about a city, so there should be a telephone area code and perhaps postal code(s), but there should not be either an address or a telephone number. @LincMad: It's the address and phone number to Naha City Hall. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 16:10, 13 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
