There's been a bit of back and forth with the subunit images included on the right in the NCT (group)#Members section, specifically the inclusion of an NCT U image. Should we include an NCT U image along with the rest of the permanent subunits in that section? U is a rotational subunit that changes depending on the song so any image selected to represent "NCT U" would only be accurate for that one specific occasion and wouldn't be representative of "NCT U" in general. The image of NCT U included in that section is also a repeat from up a little further in the article.
Sidebar but to be honest I'm not even sure why NCT U has an article considering the whole concept of that unit is that it's literally any selection of members of the group, and all of the unit's singles have been exclusively been released from albums under the "NCT" banner. Surely pretty much everything in that article is already covered here. RachelTensions (talk) 22:54, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
An NCT U article definitely makes sense considering the notability the unit has for the success of its music commercially and globally. They've released singles for projects beyond NCT U albums such as for drama soundtracks and the ongoing NCT Lab. - K-popguardian (talk) 00:58, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, it wasn't my intention to make this into a deletion discussion about the NCT U article so I probably shouldn't have opened that can of worms here. The only thing I'll point out is that pretty much all of the useful information from the NCT U article is duplicated directly from the NCT discography article.
