Origin of the name

It's peculiar to say that the name comes from the Latin words monte and rubeus. Doesn't the name come from the French words mont and rouge? I think what the current version of the article is trying to say is that the Romans named the place Monterubeus which got translated to Montrouge. I'm not sure of that however so I haven't changed it yet. --Mathew5000 10:52, 5 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
