Which image should be used
editImage:MAXLORD2.jpg or Image:Maxwellord.PNG
My opinion is that although the one on the left is slightly fuzzier, the lack of bubbles obfuscating the image makes it a superior representation of the character. I also predicted that within a week or two of putting it up someone would take it down simply because they could. Which is exactly what happened. However, I was hoping they would at least replace it with a superior image, which the person did not.ScifiterX 09:26, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
So, I'd like you guys to decide which pic looks better. Or if maybe someone could find an even better Max Lord image? ScifiterX 10:03, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- When you were modifyng the first image (which I assume you did), couldn't you have just saved it as a png as opposed to a jpg? Then you can have the 'no bubbles' but without the fuzziness. --DrBat 02:26, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Actually the program used was an old 16 bit one. I was honestly hoping someone would find a better pic of the character. ScifiterX 04:58, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip, I can do png's now.ScifiterX 04:26, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
Images
editI think the two full-page scans should be deleted/modified. They clog up the page and show nothing really signifcant in Lord's character. Usually only one or two panels should be used, and only the whole page if its one big picture (imo).--DrBat 01:14, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
"Murder"
editI just have to say, can we remove the word murder from the description of his death at the hands of Wonder Woman? She only killed him to save her friends, which hardly counts as murder. It's more like justifiable homicide. Everyone always seems to focus on the fact that she killed him, when they talk about it they conveniently forgot to mention WHY she killed him. Jupiterzguy 02:15, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- Not to mention the fact that if she hadn't killed Lord Superman would have eventually killed Wonder Woman (under Lord's control). It was not just an act to save her friends. Superman would have killed her too. It was self defense as well. All the writers seem to overlook that.Majestic Lizard 03:47, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Kilg%re
editKilg%re redirects here so I figured this would be the best place to talk about this. Kilg%re plays a major role in Flash volume 2 issues 3 and 4. Should it be mentioned in the article?--Rockfang (talk) 12:21, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- And later on in Flash v2, the Kilg%ore actually brings Flash back to life! However, since Lord and the Kilg%re are different entities, I'm not sure the redirect should go here. 38.111.35.2 (talk) 15:16, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Reformed
editWe need more clarity on the issue of whether Lord was sane during his Justice League leadership or not. What retcon and when? Can we have page scans? Is there quotes from DC editors? Anything more? Lots42 (talk) 21:44, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Deletion
editFor - I don't understand why this article is here. As far as I can tell, Maxwell Lord is a hoax. The only books I can find that reference his existence at all are Justice League: Generation Lost, and it's pretty clear from how everyone acts that this guy was hallucinated by characters that are going insane. Why this article was created is beyond me. --Yuefairchild (talk) 00:26, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
- That was actually pretty funny. Not constructive, but funny. 38.111.35.2 (talk) 15:17, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
Kilg%re pronunciation
editThe Who's Who in the DC Universe (loose-leaf title only) Pronunciation Guide offers "Kil-gore" but the Max Lord article gives something else; wouldn't DC know how to pronounce the names of their own characters? After all, the original incarnation tells us "LEW-thor" for the Luthor family name, so shouldn't they know Kilg%re? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.39.123.98 (talk) 03:44, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- I seem to recall Wally West telling Linda Park that it was pronounced something like Kilgolore. I.e., the % sign became "olo", which it physically resembles. This would have been around Flash v2 #50. 38.111.35.2 (talk) 19:24, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Criticism Section
editI've now twice removed the section called Criticism for being an unsourced section dealing with what appears to be a minor continuity error that's been resolved by the creators, although I grant the broken footnote I original found has been updated with a working one - to a newsarama report of a convention panel. I would argue again this should be removed as there's no evidence of "fans have criticized" (please avoid weasel words), no evidence that the situation had any particular notability (one question at one con panel doesn't appear to satisfy WP:GNG), or that it is an important aspect of understanding the character on Wikipedia, a tertiary source on the subject (note WP:IINFO although I realize some bristle at the word indescriminate). It's been restored twice so I'm mentioning my concerns here for other editors to arrive at some consensus. - Markeer 17:34, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

Lengthy edit summary: 3/16/17 UTC
editThis edit fixed punctuation, structure, awkwardness, whitespace, ambiguity, grammatical, redundancy, style, tense, NPOV, and formality errors. Also merged a small section into the lead and added "citation needed" and "clarification needed" tags. Note: Citations may be misplaced, and may seem to be acting as sources for information which they, in fact, do not contain. Also note: Present tense is used in most cases. Past tense is used in special cases, such as backstory. If you have any questions about any cases where one tense or another is used, feel free to ask me here. Link to Justice League
editHi! I've noticed that a link in the lead of this article to Justice League (first appeared in Justice League #1) links to the group, the Justice League. However, the context implies that Justice League was also the name of a comic book series, and that he showed up in the first issue of it. Therefore, if such a comic book series has a Wikipedia article, this link should be to that. Otherwise, it should not be a link to anything.
As I have currently not found such an article, I have disabled the link. If such an article is found, please link “Justice League” to that article.
Thanks!
