Someone deleted all the 'white woolly' pictures of these (probably usage rights deletionists). These pigs really do like like "sheep pigs" with white curly hair (and not wild boars). If you have a good picture you took yourself please upload it for this article; Thanks! --GlowBee (talk) 11:26, 27 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Can they be farmed for wool? FiredanceThroughTheNight (talk) 00:47, 12 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

It's not easy to tell from a page that's without any reference whatsoever, but this appears to be a content fork which should become a redirect to this article. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:36, 10 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

I took this picture on a trip to Budapest Zoo of a mangalica and I grant CC rights for it to be used if it suits the purpose for the page. The face is not visible, but it's a good image of the hairy coat. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yjdz3fmdau2dxrp/IMG_2835.jpg?dl=0 The page says the Tropical Wings Zoo in Essex, UK has mangalica, this is no longer true - see here for a list of animals they have, there are no pigs http://www.tropicalwings.co.uk/animals.php However they have been introduced onto heath land in Dorset, UK http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-29472957 --Kicsinyul (talk) 17:13, 7 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

I think that picture would be a good addition to the article, face or not, Kicsinyul, because it shows the coat and was taken in Hungary. Would you like to upload it to Commons (at the highest resolution possible!) so that it can be used? If so, the starting point for doing so is here, and the Upload Wizard should lead you through the steps. Thanks for pointing out the other things too; you are of course free to edit the article yourself. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:26, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Mangalica/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

The article currently says, "In March 2006 17 Mangalitza (this is how the name is spelt in English) ..."

It isn't clear that that's the way it is spelled in British or American English.

In the last 100 years, people writing in English about the breed have used "Mangalica", "Mangalitza" and "Mangalitsa".
