Objectivity
editWhere is she now?!
editwhere is she now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.131.187.212 (talk) 01:29, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
I know nothing about the case, but this article comes across as propaganda rather than an objective account. The facts should speak for themselves. Leave the tub-thumping out of it.
This is opinion/editorializing and doesn't have a place in a biography: "Of course, another reason is drugs and prostitution, but their deaths are never, ever, acceptable." --Quillman 14:29, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Charges?
editWhat charges was she arrested under?
And could someone who speaks Spanish tell us what this: 'While being unfairly held, Lydia was granted the Premio Francisco Ojeda al Valor Periodístico' means?
MilesVorkosigan 17:54, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Premio Francisco Ojeda al Valor Periodístico is a prize/award given to journalists. The Prize is named after Francisco Ojeda. Thats all i know. Cheers --Abögarp 19:17, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
I think it translates into something like "The Francisco Ojeda Prize for Journalistic Bravery" --Quillman 14:30, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
I changed and added to this article many things. The charge against Cacho was "defamation" and I think the facts "speak from themselves". posmodern2000

Abduction and torture?
editJust saw an interview with Ms Cacho, on Swedish tv, where she said she had been kidnapped right outside her home some years ago, and also "tortured for twenty-four hours". If these claims are correct, and I expect they can be verified - she was expressly not out to make herself a heroic rock star of dangerous journalism, on the contrary she wanted to counter that image - then they certainly should be in the article. 195.67.149.162 (talk) 07:54, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
