Moved from Chaos,Lords Of Chaos,Rebelstar for obvious reasons. (That article has no significant edit history or talk page attached.) --Tubedogg 00:08, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC)

World Of Spectrum

edit

The link in ref1 to the WoS page doesn't work (the page maybe doesn't exist any more. Information about whether games are allowed to be shared is stored along with information about each game. This link at WoS[1] searches their archive for all Lords Of Chaos references. This page [2] details which of Julian Gollop's games are allowed to be shared (all of them!) 195.153.45.54 (talk) 15:29, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Game is _NOT_ Public Domain

edit

People at worldofspectrum.org forums insist that none of Gollop's ZX Spectrum games is in Public Domain: https://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/discussion/55218/are-chaos-and-lords-of-chaos-really-public-domain

As PD proof Wikipedia article cites http://www.worldofspectrum.org/showwrap.cgi?permit=import/DamienBurke.html#GOLLOP which is dead, although I have managed to google-search saved citation at other places (i.e. screenshots from Gollop's games) referencing this page: "Julian Gollop has kindly agreed to this game being made Public Domain. Anyone is freely allowed to duplicate and distribute this game for use in Spectrum emulators. It is requested that the identification of Julian Gollop as the author of this software is not removed and the code not altered."

Which clearly means that Gollop haven't intended to release the game under PD or any other free license, as he disallows modification of the software. So Wikipedia can't release screenshots containing game graphics into PD. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NikitaSadkov (talkcontribs) 09:55, 18 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
